A South Sudanese man who threatened and raped a girl in a park when he was just 13 years of age has been stripped of his Australian citizenship and faces deportation.

Jal Galuak attacked his 17-year-old victim as she walked through Springthorpe Gardens, in the south-east Melbourne suburb of Murrumbeena, on the night of April 8, 2007

The teenage girl was walking from a nearby train station to a friend's house when Galuak, wielding a cricket bat, grabbed her from behind, forced her to undress and raped her in a secluded area of the park.

He initially avoided detection over the sexual assault for close to five years, before a drink-driving arrest and subsequent DNA test in 2011 linked him to the crime, Nine News reports.

Galuak was charged in September 2014, and was sentenced to five years in jail in 2015 after pleading guilty in the Victorian County Court.

Now, more than ten years since the shocking incident, he is set to be stripped of his Australian citizenship.

It was noted that Galuak had been a repeat offender in the time between the sexual assault in 2007 and his imprisonment in 2015 - amassing a serious criminal rap sheet that included robbery, making threats to kill and drug possession.

A federal government MP says borders need to be more secure after an "illegal fishing vessel" ran aground on the Queensland coast.

Border Force confirmed 11 people had been located after a boat dubbed an "illegal fishing vessel" approached the mouth of the Daintree River on Sunday afternoon.

It's believed the group ran into the national park, sparking a police and immigration operation.
In two statements online, Morrison government MP George Christensen called for better border protection in his home state.

"Qld borders need to be made more secure esp (especially) given proximity of PNG & Indonesia, considering level of radical Islamism in Indonesia, Malaysia & Philippines," he tweeted.

"With Peter Dutton back as Home Affairs Minister, I suspect this incursion will be dealt with swiftly and that there will be more focus on border security in North Queensland," he later posted to Facebook.

Paramedics in Mossman treated two people in custody for fever and chills.

Extract: The Age has been told police received information more than a week ago that violence could erupt at the 66 Records label launch party at the Gasometer Hotel on Smith Street.

Collingwood residents have described chaotic scenes after a car sped towards brawling partygoers in their quiet street on Sunday morning, hitting parked cars and pinning a young man to a car, leaving him fighting for his life.

The Age believes the man hit by the car was with the teenager accused of fatally stabbing 19-year-old Laa Chol in July on the night of her death. It is not known if the riot was payback for the alleged stabbing.

Fourteen police officers were rostered, as normal, to work the night shift across Collingwood, Fitzroy and Richmond. Police were called from the city to respond as Mater Street erupted in violence about 2.45am.

But force command rejected it so as to not cause undue angst at the event, which was attended by about 200 people, mainly African Australians and Pacific Islanders.

Several witnesses reported that officers were so outnumbered they were effectively reduced to bystanders until reinforcements arrived.

"Police presence was so low that they were just watching," one witness – who asked not be named – said.

"Not going near anyone or trying to break any of the fights up as they knew they would be turned on and there were literally 200 of them [involved in the brawl]."

Up to 200 people flooded the street, screaming and fighting, after the record label launch.

Pyjama-clad residents were also injured in the brawl as they rushed to help injured people.

Nick Whelan moved into his Mater Street apartment on Saturday. His roommate woke him as violence broke out.

"It was a noise like a soccer riot or something ... fighting between each other, fighting anyone in sight."

Mr Whelan said there were people jumping on cars, and heard the sounds of smashing windows. He saw the car speeding down Mater Street towards Smith Street, directly at the group of people.

"One hundred per cent that was on purpose," he said. "It seemed like the riot had started and someone got in a car. There was malice, they were aiming for something."

A 43-year-old said he saw a car travelling at around 80-90km/h zoom through the street towards the crowd. It hit some parked cars and injured a young man.

"He was in agony," Mr Devine said. "He looked like he had half a leg ...

Residents ran onto the street to assist the injured while they waited for police. When emergency services arrived, Mr Devine and his friends returned to his house for blankets.

"There were people fighting in the street, there was a guy lying flat on the concrete across the road," said Andrew Kelly, who was also at the scene.

"As Michael (Devine) went home he brushed a man who yelled 'don't you touch me' and just punched him."

Mr Devine said the man "kicked the hell out of me". "It was like they were all coming at me," he said.

Commander Hansen said the riot "was primarily Pacific Islanders and African Australians ... that were present at the night."

The riot came despite public warnings from the event's host a day earlier that police had been notified and violence "will not be tolerated".

Typed all in capitals, the message from 66 Records' "active manager" J-Nelly said organisers had met with ''federal detectives, who are very concerned with the energy, which they have related to the latest sparks of new reports degrading the African community ...''

66 Records is an independent music label based in Melbourne. It features hip-hop and rap artists predominantly from the African Australian community.

Not one arrest made. I never understood that, even in the U.S. how they just allow the niggers to riot without punishment. The authorities  normally don't even try to subdue the riots at all. All it would take is to shoot a couple of niggers on the front line and the rest would go home like the cowards they are, haha. With the person being hit by a vehicle it reminded me of Charlottesville and that was really just a white brother trying to escape antifa. What's the most *ed up about the whole situation is the white killing someone made news around the world. Unfortunately we in the U.S. probably will never hear of your riots on our American news. Hell of a double standard we've got in this anti-white world. Examples like these are exactly why us as Creators have to do what we can to unite the White Race, to push back against our enemies. Creativity is the only salvation for the White Race.

A SEXUAL predator who assaulted a young woman in a Melbourne alleyway remains on the run months after the attack, as police urge witnesses to come forward.

Footage and images of a man wanted over the June 9 sexual assault, which left the victim "extremely traumatised," have been released by detectives.

The man is described as being African in appearance, aged in his early 20s, 178cm tall, and wearing a black puffy jacket with a red lining, light blue jeans and white runners.

When the woman walked past, he left and began walking next to her, putting his arm around her shoulders and neck.

He kissed the victim near the Metro Tunnel works before she pushed him away but the man kept his arm around her.

The woman was then dragged into an alleyway behind high metal gates and sexually assaulted.

She screamed and ran towards Flinders Lane, where three men helped her contact a friend and organise transport home
