JUSTICE Peter Barr has started summing up the prosecution case against a former Hells Angels gang member accused of covering up a fatal hit-and-run.
Ex-bikie Nicholas "Shonky" Cassidy, 50, is defending a charge he perverted the course of justice by tampering with evidence following the death of Levi Griffiths on June 4, 2011.
The NT Supreme Court trial has been running since August 2.
The Crown has alleged that Mr Cassidy used paint, bleach and fly spray on the front of his utility to cover-up evidence he hit Mr Griffiths in Coolalinga.
He is also accused of moving his body to a service road off the Stuart Highway.
Justice Barr told the jury that the Crown has relied on covertly recorded telephone conversations between Mr Cassidy's associates and the damage to his ute to prove their case.    He is yet to sum-up the defence case.

Adelaide police are seeking five young men over an attack on a bus driver.
The man needed stitches for a cut lip and sustained a swollen eye after he was attacked at a bus stop in Hanson Road at Athol Park last Sunday, about 10:10pm.
Police have released security vision of those being sought over the assault and said the driver had told the men they needed to buy tickets before riding on the bus.
The men are believed to be of African appearance.

Men impersonating cops pulled over and seized vehicle.
   Two men pretending to be undercover cops stole a man's car after pulling him over for "hooning" in the Perth suburb of Thornlie on Friday night.

The 28-year-old victim was driving his Mitsubishi Lancer on Warton Rd about 9.30pm when a Holden Commodore approached him with a blue flashing light on the dashboard.
   The victim pulled over and was confronted by two men claiming to be undercover police officers, who said they were seizing the man's car for hooning. One man then took the black Lancer and the other man drove off in the Commodore, leaving the victim on the side of the road.
   Police have described one man as 180cm tall and the other 165cm tall, both with dark skin and dressed in casual clothes.
   "Police are reminding members of the public that if approached by anyone claiming to be a police officer to ask for identification," a police spokeswoman said.

THE prosecution of a senior Comanchero bikie over a vicious brawl at a King St strip club has been adjourned until January because a poor video link meant he couldn't properly see CCTV footage of the attack from his NSW prison.                                       
Comanchero boss Mark Buddle, 29, appeared on Wednesday via video link from NSW for a plea hearing after pleading guilty to several assault charges relating to a brawl at the Spearmint Rhino adult venue in King St in December 2011.

After Buddle's case was adjourned, County Court Judge Rachelle Lewitan insisted the plea hearing continue for co-accused Samson Bazi, 30, Ali Bazzi, 35, and David Gavelan, 31.
The court heard a number of victims were seriously injured in the brawl. Each of the men has pleaded guilty to assault and affray charges.

POLICE are seeking information after a Nightcliff service station was robbed. 
 
Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said at approximately 2:35am today a man entered Coles Express armed with a knife.

"The offender threatened a male assistant with the knife and demanded money. He then ran from the store with a sum of cash and left the area in a red sedan," Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Bland said.

The offender is described as of Middle Eastern appearance, approximately 185cm tall and aged between 25 and 30.
