3. The Australian government can shove its bullshit ban where the sun don't shine. Creator Forum is run from America under American laws and rights of Freedom of Speech.

Platforms Affected by Australia's Under-16s Social Media Ban
The Australian government has introduced a ban that prohibits individuals under the age of 16 from using certain social media platforms. This ban is set to take effect on December 10, 2025. Below is a list of platforms that are expected to be included in this ban:

Roblox (a game-creation platform with roughly 380 million users globally)
Pinterest (an image sharing and image search platform)
Discord (a social chat platform originally designed for gamers, which has since gained popularity with the wider community and especially Gen Z)
Lego Play (a Lego-branded platform which includes a range of games and creative tools for children)
Reddit (a popular message board service)
Kick (an Australian-owned video streaming platform)
GitHub (a cloud-based platform for sharing software code)
HubApp (a platform designed to "plan and organise every get-together, from drinks to a reunion")
Match (a company operating more than 45 dating apps and websites globally, including Tinder, Hinge and OkCupid)
Steam (a store front and digital distribution service for PC games)
Twitch (an Amazon-owned platform which offers live streaming and on demand video, predominantly to gamers)

eSafety described it as an "initial" list, and not all the platforms included on it are certain to be covered by the ban.

The ban will not apply to platforms that can be accessed without an account, such as YouTube, which may be exempt.

The eSafety Commissioner is currently assessing other platforms and may expand the list based on their evaluations.

Companies are required to implement age-verification measures to comply with the new laws.

This legislation aims to protect young people from potential harms associated with social media use.

Under the new guidance, platforms will not be required to use specific technologies, including those tested in the recent age assurance trial.

A report released by the government earlier this month argued age assurance technology can be implemented "efficiently and effectively" but noted these methods have a margin of error.

Social media platforms will not be required to verify the age of all users, with blanket age verification considered "unreasonable".

Platforms cannot compel users to provide government ID.

They are also not expected to keep personal information from individual age checks, with record-taking to focus on systems and processes.

The law will come into effect from 10 December this year.
