In a remarkable but under-reported address, Vice President Joe Biden recently acknowledged that the "immense" and "outsized" Jewish role in the US mass media and cultural life has been the single most important factor in shaping American attitudes over the past century, and in driving major cultural- political changes. "Jewish heritage has shaped who we are - all of us - as much or more than any other factor in the last 223 years. And that's a fact," Biden told a gathering of Jewish leaders on May 21, 2013, in Washington, DC.

Vice President Joe Biden is praising Jewish leaders for helping change American attitudes about gay marriage and other issues. Biden says culture and arts change people's attitudes. He cites social media and the old NBC TV series "Will and Grace" as examples of what helped changed attitudes on gay marriage. Biden says, quote, "Think - behind of all that, I bet you 85 percent of those changes, whether it's in Hollywood or social media, are a consequence of Jewish leaders in the industry." Biden says the influence is immense and that those changes have been for the good.

According to an article in the Adelaide Advertiser, leader of the Opposition (Australian Liberal Party), and the man likely to be the next Prime Minister, Tony Abbot, recently told the United Israel Appeal in a lengthy speech focussing on Jewish tradition that all Australians are "in a sense" Jews.

"Abraham, Moses and David may not be everyone's fathers in faith but certainly they are all our fathers in culture," said Mr Abbott.

Mr Abbott, For your information the mythical Abraham, Moses and David are not my fathers in faith or culture, anymore than they were my fathers in ethnicity. Nor did the stories of these mythical patriarchs of Judaism – Islam and Christian zealots like yourself – espouse moral values anywhere near those which I and most Australians live by today.

Abraham was an infanticidal pimp.

Moses was a genocidal magician.

David was a bandit chief turned king who ended his life as a womanising, adulterous murderer.
