The radical Mayor of Chicago viciously blamed store owners and private businesses for rampant looting this week; saying some are "not doing enough" to stop 'smash-and-grab' robberies that are plaguing the Windy City. "I'm disappointed that they're not doing more to take safety and make it a priority. We still have retailers that won't have security officers in their stores, making sure that they've got cameras that are actually operational," said Lori Lightfoot. "A lot of these allegations of organized retail theft are not actually panning out," Ocasio-Cortez stated. "I believe it's a Walgreens in California cited it, but the data didn't back it up," she added. Organized retail crime is one of the top challenges facing" the company, Walgreens told The Washington Times, adding that the crime "has evolved beyond shoplifting and petty theft to the sale of stolen and counterfeit goods online." "I don't know what data she is talking about," said Rep. Rodney Davis, an Illinois Republican.
