REVEALED: The Saudi government has 'helped five of its citizens at college in Oregon flee the US after they were convicted or charged with manslaughter, rape and child porn'

* Five Saudi students studying in Oregon have been able to flee the U.S. after being charged or convicted of serious crimes

* Abdulrahman Semeer Noorah is believed to have fled on a jet with the help of the Saudi consulate in June just weeks before his manslaughter trial was starting

* His case made international headlines last month following uproar over the killing of U.S.-based Saudi journalist, Jamal Khashoggi, in October
Four other Saudi students who were facing similar circumstances to Noorah had also fled in recent years

* The Saudi consulate posted bail  of upto $500,000 on behalf of most of the men, who were accused of offences including manslaughter, rape and possessing child porn
