Federal prosecutors have backed up Epps' vehement denials that he was a government plant or FBI operative. They say Epps has never been a government employee or agent beyond serving in the U.S. Marines from 1979 to 1983.
Prosecutors recommended six months behind bars for Epps.

Out of the 288,603 citizenship tests that were completed from May 2022 to August 2023, just 187,574 hopeful Aussies passed.
The Department of Home Affairs' citizenship test is comprised of 20 multiple choice questions on topics including Australian values, the Constitution and referendums.
Applicants have to get at least 75 per cent to pass, as well as answer all five questions on Australian values correctly.
The current success rate is at about 65 per cen

Help! / Can Guests See Videos Embedded in the Forum?

The question is, can guests see videos - such as YouTube and Facebook, MP3 audio and MP4 video - embedded in Creator Forum? If you don't get it, embedding means you can play the video or audio here without having to go to YouTube or wherever.
The simple answer is YES. Guests see what you see (not counting the S.P.G./Special Privileges Group area).
But that has not always been the case. Although, for some time there were problems with guests viewing embedded videos, the problem has been fixed. I don't know how long the problem persisted, but I noticed it sometime last year and thought it would be fixed with the forum upgrade. It wasn't. And so, I got to looking through codes ... and the answer was so simple. All it took was a slash or two in the right place: // THAT'S IT!
If you know how to code, the answer was underwhelming. Believe me, nobody should be overawed. A response was overdue, and the final solution was so simple, even just writing about it is a case of OVERKILL!

Just paste the Link/URL and that's it.
No need for any fancy coding.
Creator Forum will embed and center the video with a neat little link-back all by itself.
The simple answer is YES. Guests see what you see (not counting the S.P.G./Special Privileges Group area).
But that has not always been the case. Although, for some time there were problems with guests viewing embedded videos, the problem has been fixed. I don't know how long the problem persisted, but I noticed it sometime last year and thought it would be fixed with the forum upgrade. It wasn't. And so, I got to looking through codes ... and the answer was so simple. All it took was a slash or two in the right place: // THAT'S IT!
If you know how to code, the answer was underwhelming. Believe me, nobody should be overawed. A response was overdue, and the final solution was so simple, even just writing about it is a case of OVERKILL!

I've had my car torched once with the result being a burned tyre and smoke damage that polished out. Another time I caught someone on my security camera throwing oil at my car and then flicking lit matches at it. The first one, police took down details, went to report on their radio and the investigation ended then and there - once they found out who I was. The second, a home had been burned down that same night and I had the arsonist on camera. Uniformed coppers hated me that much, they refused to take the evidence. Detectives showed up later grateful they had the proof they needed to arrest a serial arsonist.

'(They) threw Molotov cocktails, other ones were found in the front yard.

Mr Lutze said two Molotov cocktails were found in his front yard that had failed to ignite into petrol bombs.
'Fire spread to the fence of the house and could have gone very bad very fast,' he said.
'It's lucky there is a close community here all the neighbours came out and helped.'
Mr Lutze accused anti-fascist activists of committing the attack and claimed his group - which proclaims Australia is for the 'white man' - is peaceful.
'These people have no honour attacking a home where children and a pregnant woman are sleeping,' he said.
'The media push this narrative that we're violent and that we're terrorists when we are the polar opposite of that.
'We remain peaceful at all times we only have terrorism committed against us.'

Former President Donald Trump and MAGA ideology are corrupting family values and posing an existential threat to American democracy, according to a Salon piece published Wednesday that accuses Trump of unapologetically echoing fascist and Nazi rhetoric.
The essay, titled "The Trump generation problem: MAGA family values are corrupting children," was penned by Salon politics staff writer Chauncey DeVega, who warns that "Trumpism and American neofascism" are corrupting societal norms and endangering democracy, thereby constituting a "national emergency."

"Trump knows exactly what he is saying — and like other autocrats and dictators he means it," he writes, as he accuses the news media of repeatedly attempting to "downplay and normalize Trump's increasingly unrestrained evil."
Citing political writer Jill Lawrence, DeVega warns that Trump presents a "massive challenge today to parents across the ideological spectrum who believe in old-fashioned virtues like respect and civility."
"Other parents, those who admire Trump, are enthusiastically introducing their kids to the cruel and dangerous MAGA culture, and they appear blind to the harm Trump is doing—both to their families and to the nation," he continues.
Claiming that Trump "idolizes gangsters and criminals" after the former president made a reference to the indictments of American mobster Al Capone, DeVega declares Trumpism a "generational challenge" that requires "[h]ealing, renewing, and then immunizing American democracy against such forces."
"The growing and existential danger that such forces represent to American democracy and freedom should be the leading story across the news media," he writes.
He concludes by urging major news organizations to take a stand against "Trumpian fascism," suggesting front-page editorials declare that a vote for Trump is a vote against democracy.
The matter comes as progressives face accusations of attempting to divide children from their families and supplanting traditional values with "woke" ones.

In March, DeVega claimed today's Republican Party and larger "conservative" movement are "waging a fascist war against multiracial pluralist democracy and human freedom."

WHO CAN BE ARRESTED?
The measure allows any Texas law enforcement officer to arrest people who are suspected of entering the country illegally. Once in custody, migrants could either agree to a Texas judge's order to leave the U.S. or be prosecuted on misdemeanor charges of illegal entry. Migrants who don't leave could face arrest again under more serious felony charges.
Arresting officers must have probable cause, which could include witnessing the illegal entry themselves or seeing it on video.
The law cannot be enforced against people lawfully present in the U.S., including those who were granted asylum or who are enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
"The goal of these laws is to make sure that when they see somebody crossing over the border, as the National Guard see, as the Texas Department of Public Safety see, they know they're not profiling. They are seeing with their own eyes people who are violating the law," Abbott said Monday.
Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Frijoles-Obrador, worries the law could lead to racial profiling and family separation.

In fact, the patch is so dangerous, federal prosecutors have argued, that the public should not even be exposed to it whatsoever — and it should literally be stripped from the backs of the Mongols club members.
That's the argument the government made as part of its decade-long campaign to dismantle the Mongols Motorcycle Club by taking away its prized motorcycle-jacket patches — in other words, their identity. In December, a jury convicted the club of numerous racketeering offenses, including murder and slinging narcotics. And the jury signed off on the feds' seizure of the trademark to the club's infamous symbol, which prosecutors argued would quell their incentive to commit crimes.
But on Thursday, to prosecutors' dismay, a federal judge ruled the government couldn't have its coveted patches.
Rather than helping to stop crime, U.S. District Judge David O. Carter ruled that the government's quest to confiscate the patches from club members amounted to a poorly devised, illegal case of government overreach. "Regardless of how 'potent' a symbol may be, or how much 'fear' a symbol generates, the Government cannot justify the restriction of this speech, especially given the symbols' purely associative purpose," wrote Carter, a judge in the Central District of California. "Though the symbol may at times function as a mouthpiece for unlawful or violent behavior, this is not sufficient to strip speech of its First Amendment protection."
Joseph Yanny, a Los Angeles attorney who argued the case in court, called the decision "a victory for all motorcycle clubs and any collective organization. Hopefully this puts an end to the abuse by the federal government of ordinary citizens," he said. "Over the 15-plus years that this thing has gone on, they have wasted tens of millions of dollars picking on folks trying to prove a novel theory," he told The Washington Post.
In December, a jury in California found the Mongol Nation, now one of the world's largest motorcycle clubs, was a racketeering enterprise, guilty of a range of crimes ... Among the loot claimed by the government were weapons, armored vests and, of course, motorcycles. All that was fine. But the Justice Department had vowed to go further and strip the club of its "unity symbol" — in fact, to take it "literally" right off the backs of the Mongols' riders, as the U.S. attorney in the Central District of California once threatened.
The image of that man with the shades and the mustache was emblazoned on T-shirts, on patches, on bikes, on leather jackets and tattoos. It may have been a mark of unity to Mongol members and former members, like a wedding ring binding them together — the "Holy Grail" of their relationship, as another Mongol lawyer, Stephen Stubbs, told The Washington Post.
To prosecutors, however, the patch "empowered" them, as a symbol "they wear like armor." They emphasized the image had been prominently displayed in the commission of crimes and that members could be "rewarded" with patches based on the crime they committed. In January, a jury agreed and allowed the government to claim the trademark.
But Carter disagreed. He acknowledged that the government had a "legitimate interest in attacking the economic roots of a criminal organization."
"But what does the United States accomplish by seizing control of the intellectual property rights associated with a motorcycle club's associative symbols?" Carter questioned.
Not very much, he argued. Instead, he said, in this case, the government's demand was a "grossly disproportionate" punishment for the crimes set out in the RICO conspiracy case. Carter cited a recent Supreme Court opinion applying the Eighth Amendment's prohibition of excessive fines.
"In this case, the RICO conspiracy is a serious offense," he wrote. "Nonetheless, the collective membership marks were acquired in 1969 upon first use and have been maintained through continuous use for decades. The symbols have immense intangible, subjective value to the Mongol Nation and its members." Moreover, "the collective membership marks are not the fruits of any illegal activity."
Judge Carter agreed with the Mongols' legal argument.
Allowing the government to "bootstrap a conviction of the motorcycle club into censorship" of all the club's law-abiding members and supporters, Carter wrote, would "set a dangerous precedent." What groups could the federal government target with this power next? Carter questioned.
The government's purpose in seeking the patches, he ruled, is "not enough to remedy the chilling effect the forced transfer of a symbol to the United States government has on the Mongol Nation, its members, and society at large."

The Israeli military said a soldier saw the hostages emerging tens of meters from Israeli forces in the area of Shejaiya. The IDF previously said the three men had been wrongly identified as a threat.
'They're all without shirts and they have a stick with a white cloth on it. The soldier feels threatened and opens fire. He declares that they're terrorists, they (forces) open fire, two are killed immediately,' said the military official.
