Almost all Church emblems have been banned from public sale from our Storefront at http://creativitystorefront.com. The reason given is that we are in breach of copyright. Apparently there is an enemy of ours out there that is capable of spewing the required legal spiel to stake the claim that he alone OWNS Creativity. The same has been tried before with our business cards and failed. Now, instead of being open and honest about our business cards, we are secretive, but still in full operation.

The same has already been arranged with all items on our Storefront containing the emblem of our beloved religion, Creativity, and soon, the same will happen with EVERY item currently available from our Storefront.

   Many items using the emblem of our Church, the Church of Creativity have been banned for public sale. Creativity is a legitimate and legally recognised religion under US and international laws and treaties. The symbol is not copyright owned by any other religion or group. Banning the emblem of our Church and our Religion is offensive. Please restore all items utilising our Church emblem.

   Hi Cailen,

We do respect Creativity. However, copyright is legitimate and legally recognized under US and international laws and treaties too, that's why images might be flagged when reported that they are copyright owned and this is to protect Creativity, not meaning anything to offend your church or religion.

Please kindly send us the name of designed products, and it would be nice if you can provide any information of the creator.

The names of the designed products are too many to list in total, however, I will list some products utilising the two banned versions of Church designs.

Other designs as yet unbanned are all based on the initial design referred to as the Emblem or Logo of Creativity.

The creator of the design was Bernhardt "Ben" Klassen, who first revealed the design with the publication of his first book, Nature's Eternal Religion, in 1973. Ben Klassen called his Church, the Church of the Creator, and our books, as written by Ben Klassen, maintain that name. Our Church is called the Church of Creativity due to the incompetence of one of our former Church leaders, who neglected to protect our Church name and allowed it to be purchased and seized under US Trademark Law. As we do not use that name - other than in our books, which are protected by copyright - the name is not in dispute here.

Ben Klassen, who was a former US Senator, inventor of the automatic can-opener and real estate investor, was a very wealthy man - a millionaire to be exact - and did not write his books or found his Church for reasons of profit. I have been told by those still in our Church who knew Ben Klassen personally, that "copyright" is held by the people themselves - not any one man or group. As such, even we would not be able to claim copyright ownership should a group of legitimate Creators choose to sell their own products at your company. We do this out of respect for Ben Klassen's wishes that Creativity spread without confinement of borders or the greed of individuals.

Ben Klassen's premier Church ended with his death in 1993 and his chosen successor's resignation in 1995. Creativity as a religion however, has continued to grow and survives with its people, many of whom, as I said above, knew Ben Klassen personally.

Being aware of possible future copyright and trademark issues brought about by the greed of individuals, we have been forced to differentiate our terminology re our Church name, group name, and Church emblem/logo and group emblem/logo. Our group is called the Creativity Alliance, and our Churches are each called the Church of Creativity (hence the Creativity Alliance incorporating the Church of Creativity). Our group emblem/logo consists of the generic emblem of Creativity intertwined with DNA strands - something I designed myself many years ago at the request of the founder of the Creativity Alliance (Thomas William Jackley, who died recently in 2010). All of our Churches - be they Reverend Jackley's Church of Creativity in Utah-USA, or any other American, Italian, Spanish, French, South African, et al or South Australian as my Church is - use the generic emblem of Creativity as its Church logo, and have done since the first days of Creativity in 1973.

In short, the emblem that your company has banned from public sale is the generic emblem of the religion of Creativity, as used by all Creators, regardless of their origins. While the purposes a non-Creator may put our emblem to is debatable, it is otherwise as free for duplication as is the Christian cross or the Jewish Star of David - although perhaps not as immediately recognisable as such.
