This film quite impressed me. I decided to research some of the key events in the film and found the screenplay to be reasonably historically accurate.
The important part of the film to me is the anti-draft riots that took place during the American civil war. I was quite unaware of these events until watching the film.
Important points that arise are that
1, White gangs were once a hundred times more ferocious than mud gangs. Strangely this characteristic now seems to have been lost either through affluence or the dying off of that warrior element in war.
2, The central political system of the US based out of Tammany Hall has always been corrupt beyond belief. A quick search shows the main political character of the film (William Tweed) to have later died in prison for defrauding $500 million. An astronomical amount at the time.
3. It shows the central Yankee government cynically using immigrants as muscle to achieve political aims (civil War)
4. It shows the same central government not hesitating to massacre the White population when it uses violence against the negro.
Amazing. An excellent film.
It's definitely one of my favourites, I have very few movies that I've bought as I'll only spend money on quality viewing. I wasn't surprised to see the Natives opposing the niggers being freed and allowed in the North, it's not something that is taught but rather it is common sense - nobody likes niggers. The Civil War was nothing more than a fraud that should never have happened, a useless fratricidal war.

I recently watched this again and you have to bear in mind it is just hollywood entertainment. It is written to a script for effect. The aim being to make money from an audience, Even historical characters like butcher Bill Cutting never actually killed anyone. I wager much of the subplot was to just make out that mexican and mud violence is nothing new. The reality is that White societies in the past were much more peaceful, free and stable than they are now. The original book the film was based on actually covered a greater span of time and included the immigration of Jews and Italians to New York who did engage in random sadistic violence. The whole glorification of crime and violence in Hollywood is just the jewish holywood culture celebrating its own folklore and mythos.
Every script, based on truth or not, is another form of propaganda from the poison pen of the Jewish script-writer.

Yes, Gangs of New york was a good filim another message that i took from it was the ongoing and never ending exploitation of the Lower class/workin class which now encompasses the middle class as well by ruthless robber barons who are still around today and so called Captains of industry alas with a heavy Jew influence but the white race traitor will always be around to exploite and do the Jews bidding for a bite of the Shekal pie.
One day the Gallows will do a roaring trade, but not yet, the white race needs to suffer a lot more .
