Excerpt: Under the 'Pay the Rent' model proposed by a campaign of the same name, and backed by celebrities, homeowners would voluntarily pay a percentage of their income to a body led by Aboriginal elders and administered without any government oversight or intervention.

The scheme could then be extended further to all users of the land - people having weddings or holding concerts would also be encouraged to hand over money.

Rents for wedding could be calculated at one per cent of the total cost of a wedding, paytherent.net.au says.

With the average Australian wedding costing $54,000 to run, local traditional owners could receive a rent payment of $540 for each wedding.

When a music festival is held, the organisers could pay one per cent of the total income collected as rent.

Since the 1970s there have been repeated calls by indigenous activists for non-Aboriginal Australians to pay the rent to local landowners.

It's no joke. They will deny it today, but if they get their House of Abo Overlords to dictate to parliament, they will force it on every White Australian.

Under the proposed scheme, based on the median Australia wage of $1250 a week, a one per cent tax would cost every White Australian $650 a year. But it wont stop there ....

Occupiers of every building will be forced to pay the Abo Tax. Essentially, it will be an Abo Tax that allows every verified Abo to sit back and receive a handout from the government on top of their usual social security plus extra Abo-Only benefits.

Further, the intent is to setup tolls everywhere, making it a crime to drive without paying Abos a toll for driving on their roads. There will be Toll Roads you are charged for driving on, and you will pay a general Abo Tax via vehicle registration.

Every day, people consume food grown on Indigenous land or harvested from Indigenous seas; they drink water that flows across or under Indigenous land.

A campaign calling for non-Indigenous Australian property owners to pay a "weekly rent" to traditional landowners has been met with staunch opposition.

A statement shared by the One Nation leader reveals her party "strongly condemns" the proposal for non-Indigenous Australians to "pay a race based rent tax".

"The rent tax scheme would see millions of Australians thrown further into poverty as their rents balloon or families pay more on top of their ever-increasing mortgages" the statement read.

Ms Hanson's statement branded the scheme "deeply flawed and unjust" and a "form of discrimination".

"One Nation believes this proposal is a distraction from the real issues facing Indigenous communities, such as poverty, unemployment, and crime," the party notes.

"Instead of proposing a controversial and divisive race-based rent tax, One Nation calls for Australians to unite as one country and reject the left's pro-apartheid madness.
