All three of my high school years in a suburban Illinois city me and my classmates were monitored by on campus, armed security.  This protection was ridiculed by many who felt it was more an instance of a surveillance tactic to repress undesirable student activity.  Mostly in respect to on campus drug and alcohol use during school hours or after school sporting events.  I never thought about,  much less fearing  being killed by a gunman.  Today I think I was lucky having such protection.  The gun laws haven't changed - the times have and the people have.  Nuts should never be let on campus.

Excerpt: Just days after a teenage gunman murdered 19 children and two teachers in an elementary school in Texas, four men – two minors and two adults – were arrested for posing a threat to a school along the Texas-Mexico border.

At a press conference on Thursday, the chief of the Donna Police Department told reporters that Nathaniel Seth Montelongo and Barbarito Pantoja, both 17 years old, had been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

"Our investigators worked diligently in this case, federal and local," said Gilbert Guerrero, the department chief. "We are pretty sure that we foiled the plan to whatever was going to happen and it's not going to happen."

I agree with this post, the US government should stop giving $40 Billion of aid to Pissrael.

At least, before Israel was established, social welfare went to the USA and not to some contrived country that never existed until it was made by the UK in 1948.

I agree with all of this, though the Jews started wandering the Sahara in Africa before they came into contact with Egypt and then spread east to Persia where they settled in what is now Israel/Palestine. Palestine was actually created by the British in 1918 when they, along with the USA and France, partitioned the Ottoman Islamic Caliphate as part of its terms of surrender after World War 1. The British then created Israel in 1948 after World War 2 by dividing Palestine so that part of the land would go to the Jews.

This is what started the 7 Days War because the Muslims wanted the land back.

All of the subsequent wars in the Middle East such as the Iranian Revolution, Soviet-Afghan War, Gulf War and War on Terror were fought to topple regimes that refused to give deals on oil that would be favorable to Israel.
