A DOCTOR who took “upskirt” photographs of female patients while administering spinal injections has been struck off indefinitely.

The Medical Professional Conduct Tribunal today ruled that Gurmit Dhillon be banned from practice because of the humiliation and distress caused to his victims.

The 65-year-old is currently serving a 14-month non-parole period for two counts of indecent assault and 15 counts of indecent behaviour.

Between September 2004 and November 2005, Dhillon treated nine women with prolotherapy, or pain-relieving injections to the spine.

In the tribunal’s judgment, District Court Chief Judge Terry Worthington said Dhillion abused the trust of those women.

“It was his habit to ask them to remove their lower underwear even though that was unnecessary,” he said.

“The resulting exposure of the patients’ genitalia was to satisfy prurient interest.

“During consultations he secretly took photographs with a digital camera… these were put onto a laptop or a computer hard drive.”

Reprimanded by the Medical Board in September 2005, Dhillon continued to see and assault patients until his name was removed from the register of doctors a month later.

Chief Judge Worthington said Dhillon’s conduct “strikes at the heart” of doctor-patient relations.

“Each victim has been greatly distressed by what he did,” he said.

“It is clear that, in every case, this treacherous behaviour has caused a lasting legacy.”

The tribunal rejected the Medical Board’s suggestion that Dhillon be banned for eight years, saying an indefinite suspension was necessary.

“There is no sound reason for thinking that disqualification for a period of eight years is sufficient protection for the community,” Chief Judge Worthington said.

Comment:
This is another reason why I refuse to go or allow my family to visit non-White doctors. Not only are they incompetent and racist against the average White person, but they are also more likely to be sexual deviants than any White doctor.
