Just listening to a Creator Brother on Renegade Radio, and was thinking.. perhaps we could put together our own?
First of all, I think it would be great to expound on issues of today, tying in our religion's position with modern issues (which in reality are not modern, but I digress). Also, and I know this might sound stupid.. but I reckon it would be good for listeners to hear (and realise) all the different accents, showing that we are worldwide. (Although I'm not sure anyone could understand Bro Greg's culche accent! :P)
We have our own CATV, so hosting is no problem (I think).. what do the rest of the Brothers and Sisters think?
Pre-recorded shows to be hosted by one person - not me - with a different guest or guests each week. As much as I will help with every aspect of the show in the background, I refuse to host the show and run the risk of turning our Church into a Cult of Personality. However, I'll do recorded interviews and readings as any other Creator should and will.
How? CA-TV is ours and it's no problem to add anything there.
Skype for interviews. It's better to have two people having a discussion at all times, rather than having a single person babbling on and on and .... There are plenty of Skype Recorder type programs out there. Use what is best for your operating system.
I have the audio software for non-Skype related recording and to combine our various efforts, add music and other flourishes and complete the program. I can distribute the software to any Creator that is interested. It's Windows software.
FYI Many Creators over the last twelve years have talked about doing this very same thing. In the old days, we didn't have the network or computer capability; It was a case of having to be one person babbling on and on and ... feeling like a self conscious freak talking into a mic in a sound proofed room. Today we have the knowledge, the tech, the bandwidth and the capability, as well as the network distribution ability. Can you do what other Creators have only talked about?

We could make a running order, and do some testing before putting anything out there to the public. I dread the idea of having someone stutter and umm ahh through two hours of a show, and I doubt that will be a problem for us... we have plenty to talk about!!
The only restriction we have is ourselves.. as an example, if we are going to have a talk about issues today, we can use the planner above to see what time is best for all. It'll only be for an hour or so, and that can be edited down etc. Also, regarding our PM's point about 'cult' I think we should have a team with rotating hosts. This way, I think, anyone can take part, but the team will still be there to help out etc
This seems like a great idea. I hope to one day see it in action, and once I am a Reverend I hope I can contribute to it.
It would also be interesting if we revived the radio show "In Klassen We Trust" I quite liked it, even if it did go on a bit. Perhaps it should only be half an hour as opposed to a whole one.

Set yourself up with Skype on your phone or computer and stay in touch. Any new radio show will be guest reliant.

If we were going to revive that format, I could have done it myself ten or more years ago. In fact, I have done it and hated it. It takes time to get used to droning on in your never-ending monologue, throwing in titbits to excite, propaganda and if you are that way inclined, a good helping of mendacity to steer minds in the direction you want them to go; It should of course be able to go without saying that I avoided that last part like the plague it is. Any radio show we do, that does not have audience participation is set to become pure entertainment only. And if the presenter is Pontifex Maximus, entertainment risks slipping into the cult status category for many of our audience, and we will not again submit Creativity to that demeaning Cult of Personality! So brother, there will be no eternal monologues and even our most recent Creators will have the opportunity to participate in any radio show put out by our Church.

I realize what you mean now Reverend, I just listened to an episode and though informative, I doubt how it could be used as potential material to get new members.
