Full Text: SA Cops Legal Loss

SA Police must pay legal fees for a man previously alleged to have displayed a Nazi symbol during an Australia Day protest, a court has ruled.

On Tuesday, Mason James Robbins, 30, of Clarkson in Western Australia, appeared via phone in Adelaide Magistrates Court.

Prosecurotors said they were seeking to withdraw all charges against him, laid after a march by black-clad National Socialist Network members through Adelaide's CBD on Australia Day.

Travis Moran, for Mr Robbins, told Magistrate Patrick Hill he and SA Police agreed police would foot the bill for his client's legal fees of $1210. Mr Robbins is no longer charged with carrying an offensive weapon or article of disguise and displayiing a Nazi symbol.
