A GROUND announcer was sacked on the spot after making racial remarks at the Chairman's XI vs England match at Traeger Park in Alice Springs yesterday.
David Nixon, an ABC Open producer and ground announcer for the game, was stood down for introducing England spin bowler Monty Panesar to a crowd of about 2000 using an Indian accent.
Well It isn't racist for an Indian to speak in that accent , just a white man. Don't even have to say anything of a hateful nature to be in trouble nowadays you just have to adopt an accent that isn't your usual voice.
