Americans Rally Across the Country After Ferguson Decision

Thousands of people rallied late Monday in U.S. cities including Los Angeles and New York to passionately but peacefully protest a grand jury's decision not to indict a white police officer who killed a black 18-year-old in Ferguson, Missouri.

They led marches, waved signs and shouted chants of "hands up, don't shoot," the refrain that has become a rallying cry in protests over police killings across the country.

QuoteThe most disruptive demonstrations were in St. Louis and Oakland, California, where protesters flooded the lanes of freeways, milling about stopped cars with their hands raised in the air.

Activists had been planning to protest even before the nighttime announcement that Officer Darren Wilson will not be charged in the shooting death of Michael Brown.

UPDATE: PROTESTS have erupted across the US after a grand jury ruled that the white police officer who shot Michael Brown in Ferguson will not be charged over the unarmed black teen's death.

The jury's ruling that there was "no probable cause" to indict Darren Wilson over Brown's shooting death in the St Louis suburb has caused shock, disbelief and inflamed already simmering racial tensions.

A University City police officer was shot in the arm during the violent protests which saw the town ablaze with fires.

The shooting happened at Canton Avenue and Lamb Avenue and the officer was taken to an area hospital.

The officer is expected to be okay and police are looking for the suspect.

Police made 29 arrests amid the protests and violence, St. Louis County Police said. The police chief, Jon Belmar, said he heard at least 150 gunshots, but authorities said police did not fire at anyone and to his knowledge, police have not caused any serious injuries.

Entire rows of businesses are on fire, including on West Florissant Avenue, a major street in Ferguson. Because there are so many fires and due to gunshots firefighters haven't been able to reach all of the sites, CNN's Sara Sidner said.

Rows of cars at a car dealership have also been set ablaze in the nearby city of Dellwood and various police cars have been set on fire.

The body of a 20-year-old man was found "shot dead" in a car in Ferguson, in what may be the first fatality from the unrest that rocked the United States.

Police found the body of the man inside a burnt-out car overnight. The victim, DeAndre Joshua, was found just metres from where Brown was shot, with his grandmother Renita Towns telling the Daily Mail that "somebody killed him."
Missouri Governor Jay Nixon called the National Guard to Ferguson on August 9 after public unrest flared as the body of Brown lay in the middle of a street for up to four hours after the shooting. Several days of tense protests, violence and looting in the predominantly black community followed.

The shooting was investigated by a grand jury made up of nine white people and three black people. After meeting on 25 days over three months, and heard more than 70 hours of testimony from 60 witnesses, the jury found Officer Wilson was not culpable for Brown's death. St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch held a 45-minute prime-time news conference yesterday to reveal the decision, and described inconsistent witness accounts. He never mentioned that Brown was unarmed when he was killed.
Thousands waiting in the streets of Ferguson and in other major US cities yesterday responded with shouts of anger.

In Ferguson, some began throwing objects at police, and soon began to smash windows and set fire to businesses and cars. Authorities lobbed tear gas to disperse the crowd. When daylight broke, about a dozen businesses had been severely damaged or destroyed along a stretch of West Florissant Avenue in the north St. Louis suburb. Sixty-one people were arrested in Ferguson and 21 were arrested in the Shaw neighborhood of St. Louis, while 18 people had protest-related injuries.

Officer Wilson remains on 'administrative leave', pending the outcome of an internal police investigation.

Echoes across the US

The Ferguson decision echoed right around the US, all the way to New York, where protesters took to the streets and blocked three city bridges, according to The New York Post.

One demonstrator hurled blood-red paint that hit the city Police Commissioner, William Bratton, splattering his face.

About time Everyone take the opportunity to round these jigs up and take them to have a "nice hot shower"!

A CURFEW has been issued in Ferguson, Missouri after a grand jury decided not to indict police officer Darren Wilson for the shooting death of Michael Brown.

The City of East St. Louis imposed the curfew between 6pm and 6am unti Monday, December 1.

Everyone age 17 and under is subject to the curfew, according to the mayor's office.

"The City takes its responsibility of protecting the health and safety, in general, very seriously.

"In particular, the adults of this community must protect our next generations," Mayor Alvin L. Parks Jr. said in a press release.

Earlier, authorities responded quickly after a police car was set on fire outside city hall.

The car appeared to have been set on fire by a group of people who had broken off from what had been a largely peaceful crowd protesting a grand jury decision not to indict white police officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown.

Witnesses say American flags were set on fire and protesters seen pushing and shoving police.

The scenes of chaos in New York echo protests across the US, with demonstrators taking to the streets in Nashville, Los Angeles, Boston, Portland and Washington DC.

In the interview aired this morning on US news network ABC, Officer Wilson says that he feared for his life - denying he shot Brown in the back at a distance.

He later conceded he had unleashed the fatal volley - the first time he had pulled his gun as an officer - when Brown was at least 12 metres away.

"He (said he) would not do anything differently that day," according to the interviewer, George Stephanopoulos. "He did what he was trained to do. He was simply doing his job."

Asked if things would have 'gone down differently' if Brown was white, Wilson responded: "Absolutely not."

Wilson reportedly told the ABC he had a 'clean conscience'.

Wonder if when Fergusson is destroyed the good people of Leith ND will welcome all the white people to live there and make quieter lives for themselves?

ISIS offers help if Ferguson protesters accept Islam, swear loyalty to caliph

On Tuesday, Ferguson protesters received an offer of help from the Islamic State, also known as ISIS, the militant group that has taken control of large areas of Syria and Iraq. The offer of assistance came in the form of a tweet that promised help if protesters accept Islam and pledge allegiance to the group's leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

"Accept islam & give bayah to abu bakr al baghdadi & then we will send u soldiers that dont sleep (sic)," tweeted an individual identified as British-born jihadi Junaid Hussain, a 20-year-old militant who now goes by the name Abu Hussain al-Britani. The account that sent the tweet has since been suspended, but the tweet has caught the attention of a number of people.

Writing at PJ Media, Bridget Johnson noted that another jihadist Twitter account indicated that ISIS fighters may show up in Ferguson, Missouri, whether protesters accept their offer or not. "You never know if Dawlah supporters are getting in on the action in Ferguson, especially since more protests are planned," said "AbuUmar8246."

Others urged the Ferguson protesters to continue fighting while encouraging them to embrace Islam. Another tweet by Hussain encouraged protesters to reject American democracy: "We hear you and we will help you if you accept Islam and reject corrupt man-made laws like democracy and pledge your allegiance to Caliph Abu Bakr and then we will shed our blood for you and send our soldiers that don't sleep, whose drink is blood, and their play is carnage."

ISIS militants are well-known for their brutality, beheading anyone who does not conform to their brand of radical Islam. As we have reported, ISIS fighters have systematically beheaded children in Mosul and buried women and children alive in mass graves. The Anglican vicar of Baghdad said ISIS militants cut a five-year-old boy in half, and another witness said militants tore a woman in two after tying her to multiple vehicles. Another report claimed al-Baghdadi gave fighters permission to eat babies, but that report has not yet been confirmed.

It's not the first time ISIS has tried to capitalize on the unrest in Ferguson, Townhall noted. In August, a sign that read, "ISIS is here," was spotted in a CNN report.

"Whether ISIS will successfully make inroads in Ferguson remains to be seen, but the thought alone is chilling," Leah Barkoukis said. Even more chilling is the thought that the Obama administration may do nothing to prevent intervention by ISIS radicals. There is no word yet on whether or not protesters have rejected the offer of assistance from a group that is a declared enemy of the United States.

Pharrell is the latest celebrity to speak out about the Ferguson verdict and he says he definitely isn't happy that officer, Darren Wilson, was not found guilty in the killing of Michael Brown.

Pharrell tells Ebony Magazine that officer Darren Wilson should never have shot and killed Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO., but he does admit that he was shocked when he watched surveillance footage of Michael stealing.

Pharrell Williams Shocks: Michael Brown, Ferguson Victim, Was 'Bullyish'

Michael was at a convenience store stealing cigarillos before he was killed and on the video, he was caught by the owner. But Pharrell says he was upset when he saw the way Michael was acting towards the owner.

"It looked very bully-ish," he said. "That in itself I had a problem with. Not with the kid, but with whatever happened in his life for him to arrive at a place where that behavior is OK. Why aren't we talking about that?"

THE white police officer who killed Michael Brown has resigned from the Ferguson Police Department, nearly four months after the confrontation that fuelled protests in the St. Louis suburb and across America.

Darren Wilson has been on administrative leave since the August 9 shooting.

His resignation was announced on Saturday by one of his attorneys, Neil Bruntrager.

Bruntrager says the resignation is effective immediately.

Football Player Strikes Ferguson Pose After Touchdown; Here's How His Coach Reacted

Football Player Strikes Ferguson Pose After Touchdown; Here's How His Coach Reacted I guess the fact that Michael Brown never raised his hands in surrender is irrelevant. To many people on the left inconvenient facts just get in the way...

A football player for the University of Arkansas made a political statement during Friday's game against the Missouri Tigers when he struck the "hands up, don't shoot" pose used by protesters since the shooting death of Ferguson teenager Michael Brown.

During the first quarter of the game at Memorial Stadium/Faurot Field in Columbia, Missouri, Arkansas quarterback Brandon Allen threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to running back Jonathan Williams, who then put both hands in the air, mimicking demonstrators who turned the "hands up" saying into a rallying cry against excessive force against minorities by police.

Protesters charge that Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson needlessly shot Brown, 18, on Aug. 9 while his hands were in the air and he was surrendering after an altercation in the officer's squad car 90 seconds earlier. A grand jury decided not to indict the officer after forensic evidence and eyewitness testimony convinced them otherwise.

What was the coaches or NCAA's reaction to all of this? Nothing, because it might be racist to react negatively. So Tim Tebow praying on the field is offensive and distracting but this college football player honoring a thug who attacked a police officer is OK!
This is part of why I refuse to watch college or professional sports. The players used to be role models for generations of children but now so many of them are as thuggy as the Ferguson protesters.

Owner of Dellwood Market in Ferguson: I Won't Rebuild, I'm Too Old, I'm Planning to Get Out (Video)
The Dellwood Market in Ferguson was looted three times since August.
Twice in August and once in November.

Mumtaz Lalani told Sean Hannity tonight that he will not rebuild his store after his business was looted for the third time in three months last week. Sean Hannity shared new video of the dozens of looters, young black men, pouring into the Dellwood Market after the grand jury released its decision last week.

Mr. Lalani said that it cost him between $50,000 and $100,000 to rebuild and restock after each time the store was looted. Lalani said he did not want to own a business in Ferguson any longer. He did not feel safe. The Dellwood Market owner also lashed out at Governor Jay Nixon, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

Quote "This time the governor promised that there would be National Guard and that we would be taken care of and secure. I was very much disappointed. All they had to do was put one National Guard Humvee parked in front of each store. There were 20 to 30 stores. They could have prevented these things... They did everything wrong from beginning to the end... ...The thing is that Martin Luther King if he was alive he wouldn't have appreciated the way those leaders have handled the case. Like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, they've been to St. Louis a couple of times. They could have talked to those demonstrators to do a peaceful demonstration. Not just destroy the neighborhood."

Interesting to see the local Australian commies and African refo scum have made a protest at the US consulate in Melbourne in unison with their "brothers" in the US.

http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/protest-over-death-of-us-teenager-michael-brown-shuts-st-kilda-road-20141205-1214vz.html (http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/protest-over-death-of-us-teenager-michael-brown-shuts-st-kilda-road-20141205-1214vz.html)

A demonstration against police violence in the United States has forced St Kilda Road to be temporarily closed.

The road was shut between Commercial Road and Roy Street and trams were diverted for about 45 minutes after protesters blocked the road at about 2pm.

Organisers, the Whistleblowers, Activists and Citizens Alliance, said on Twitter that a group of about 100 people had picketed the United States consulate to show solidarity with the people of Ferguson, Missouri.

Some protesters were shown with placards reading "I can't breath", a reference to Eric Garner, who died after being placed in a chokehold by a New York police officer while being arrested on suspicion of selling untaxed cigarettes.

A New York grand jury decided on Thursday not to charge the white police officer.

St Kilda Road was reopened about 2.50pm.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman said the protest was peaceful.
