This training have been going way before `94. After the commies took away the commando structures protecting farmers, people have been training themselves, forming their own commandos. Unfortunately White farmers, especially the elderly, are still being slaughtered - just another method of getting Whites from the land, similar to what happened in Rhodesia, and most probably the same animals. While ZOG is brainwashing the youth ... the Apartheid era Whites are being targeted. As the killings continue, militancy is gathering speed ...  ;)

South Africa's World Cup dry run has been hit by a theft at the Egyptian team hotel in Johannesburg.
Local police are investigating the theft of some US$2,400 from the rooms of five unnamed players. The cash was taken while the Pharaohs were beating World Cup winners Italy 1-0 on Thursday in a Confederations Cup group match. The Egyptian delegation had been staying at Johannesburg's Protea Wanderers Hotel.

"Five players have reported a case of theft, with the total sums lost amounting to US$2,400," Thembi Nkhwashu, a spokesperson for the Gauteng South African Police Services, told BBC Sport.  "The period when the money could have disappeared is from the time they left the hotel for the match until this morning when we were notified."

Nkwashu refused to be drawn on whether the matter could have been an internal problem, but did say that the players had lacked responsibility in looking after their money.  "All the players had a safe in their rooms and were given information on how to operate those services, but for one reason or other they did not follow the instructions," she added.

The theft will come as a blow to South African organisers, who are staging the eight-team Confederations Cup as a test event ahead of Africa's first World Cup next year. Meanwhile, the Egyptians, who South Africa beat for the right to host the 2010 World Cup, are refusing to blame their hosts, saying such an incident could happen anywhere.  "Our stay in South Africa has been great and everyone has been very hospitable, so this is a very unfortunate event," Mahmoud Taher, the head of Egypt's delegation, told BBC Sport.

"There was some negligence on the players' part, leaving the money in drawers, and they'll be getting firm instructions for next time. It's not an issue which we want to create too many problems over but the Local Organising Committee has been informed." Ahmed Fathi, who played at right-back on Tuesday as the Pharaohs stunned the world champions, said the theft was disappointing.

"Everyone is sad about losing the money, as this is not a good thing, but there's not much we can do about it," the former Sheffield United player explained. Meanwhile, football's world governing body Fifa has refused to comment, saying further details are needed first. Welcome to S-Africa hope you enjoy your stay ! ;)

Pre World Cup Agitrop Lies Are Starting

According to a report released in Europe earlier this week, the following astounding statistical assertions are made :
1. That Britain is a more criminally violent society than South Africa;
2. That even Austria's crime situation is substantially worse than South Africa.

The statistics are derived from European Commission documents, and were also distributed by the United Nations.

Yes, you read right. The European Commission's report states the following laughable lies :
Violent Crime Per 100 000 people
Britain : 2 034
Austria : 1 677
South Africa : 1 609
Sweden : 1 123

Annual Murder Rate
Britain : 921
South Africa : 20 000

Austria and the UK has more violent contact crime than SA ? , Austria of all places ! These figures are so patently false and laughably ridiculous, one is stunned that some imbeciles are actually taking them seriously ! Various "experts" cited by the British media said that the concept of "violence" is interpreted differently in different countries [?!?]. With their slew of insane peecee laws I'm not surprised ... for example, glaring ominously at another driver while sitting at a traffic light constitutes a violent act. Farting in a lift is violent antisocial behaviour. Giving someone the finger is probably Assault with the intent to do Grievous Bodily Harm, not to mention Crimen Injuria and the endless list of thought crimes you can now be charged with.

At the same time, in SA a completely different set of rules apply. Six bullet holes in the back of someone's skull is put down to "suicide" - having your head and hands hacked off with a machete is a bad shaving accident, being disembowelled with a rusted tomahawk axe and having your liver and heart ripped out and eaten while still alive is recorded as "domestic violence" or "death through natural causes" or "poisoning". If you're lucky, being gang-raped by eight rapacious muds might be listed as "sexual harassment" but only if you can name your assailants and are in possession of their ID numbers, residential addresses and their genealogical records for the past 60 years.

OK, perhaps I'm exaggerating a tad now but his is the kind of comparison these idiots are making. Unless its part of some cynical propaganda campaign to butter up prospective FIFA 2010 tourists to the criminal hell hole of Arsezania. As expected, the usual coon criminal-loving denialists wasted no time in plastering these worthless "statistics" all over the SA comments sections, eager to "prove" that the out of control warzone like conditions we so regularly feature is a mere "perception".

With regard to the crime situation in the UK, there is no doubt that crime has sky-rocketed in past few years. Its still nowhere near SA levels, but with a flood of mud races to the British Isles, and massive infestations of muds in major cities, certain neighbourhoods [e.g. Bradford, Brixton] have become de facto no-go areas for White Britons. Some Brits are waking up to the creeping turd world erosion of their way of life and this has seen an astronomical growth in rightist parties like the British National Party.

Most notable has been the growth of the BNP in areas most heavily infested by Paki's, Jamaicans, Nigerians and other turd world vermin. If anything, this little factoid again proves that the luxurious, self-righteous multi-culti position of being a bleeding heart non-racialist quickly dissipates as cold, hard racial truth forces one to revisit one's premises. These ridiculous stats amazingly show UK violent crime to be far worse than that in SA, yet the same report reflects a UK murder rate of 921 per annum, compared to the SA murder rate of 20 000. Said figure of 20 000 has strangely been stuck at the 20K mark since the late 1990's - anyone living in SA has seen an astronomical rise in criminality in the past 14 years, so how this figure remains static at 20K is rather odd. Interpol and various other credible agencies [insurance and vehicle tracking companies etc] have put the figure at anywhere between 30 000 and 35 000 murders per annum in SA. Instead of the supposed 50 murders a day, the Medical Research Council puts the figure at 89 murders per day [and this was back in 2003/4].

A R4.5 Billion Staduim For A R1

Cape Town is set to sign away the R4.5 billion Green Point super-stadium - for just R1 a year. Despite fears the stadium will become a costly "white elephant" after the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the city is pushing ahead with a controversial deal with a French-South African consortium. The city hopes to receive a 30% share of the after-tax profits from the SAIL Stadefrance Operating Company.

But if the operator does not make a profit, however, the city will recover just R1 a year in rent while spending millions more on maintaining the stadium. To be viable the stadium will have to host between 20 and 40 events a year. The city's 2010 officials are hopeful that the lease will be endorsed by the city council when it meets on October 28. The deal is heavily skewed in favour of SAIL Stadefrance, represented by Springbok rugby great Morné Du Plessis - so much so that one independent legal expert said this week : "The only reason a landlord would concede so much is because they know they have a white elephant on their hands and they don't know what to do with it."

Dave Hugo, Cape Town's 2010 technical director, disagrees. "I honestly believe it is going to be an asset ... we certainly don't see it being a white elephant. To achieve that we have to sweat the asset. He believes that SAIL Stadefrance is a "world best". "The city is not in the business of running international stadiums .... if they can't make it work, no-one can. It won't be a walk in the park", Du Plessis concedes. "On any basis, it is going to be tough."

He believes a "fair deal was hammered out" in the lease despite suggestions the city was "out-manoeuvred and out-negotiated" by the consortium's lawyers. "Fifty percent of the critics say the stadium can't sustain itself; another 50% say our deal is too good." But Ralph Malan, a retired engineer and vehement opponent of the stadium, says the project has been "bedevilled from start to finish with official deception of the public. The stadium is going to haemorrhage money."

Estimates of what it will cost to maintain vary considerably. Early figures suggested it would cost as little as R1.3m a year but others range as high as R30m and even R150m a year. Du Plessis said initial costs would be low as "everything is new and under guarantee". "As they age, stadia do start costing money and we understand that, but there is a limit to the commercial return we can generate."

David Polovin, a lawyer and businessman who led a ratepayers' investigation into the merits of the stadium says that while it "brought with it a lot of infrastructural benefits for Cape Town", he is concerned that the city agreed to share a percentage of the "profits". "It is a fundamental weakness that the lease comes down to a share of the profits. What motive is there for the stadium operators to show a profit ? Profit means tax and it means they have to share with the city. So all they have to do is eliminate profit with expenses. Any shrewd businessman knows how to hide income in expenses."

But Polovin believes Cape Town was in an impossible position and had little choice but to accept the terms of the lease. "There were very few contenders for post-2010 operators. The operator dictated the lease to them." Hugo says there are no guarantees, but the operator's business plans project the stadium will run at a profit "except for the first couple of months".

"We believe the operating costs of the stadium will, at least, break even and not burden the ratepayer. There are no guarantees of course and time will tell." Du Plessis says an anchor tenant which will draw 10 to 12 large matches a year is key to the stadium's success. "We can then build an event strategy around that." SAIL Stadefrance are currently in tentative talks with Cape Town's two big soccer clubs, Ajax Cape Town and Santos. But real negotiations can only take place once the lease is signed and sealed. "All we have at the moment is the potential for an events strategy," Du Plessis says.

"We have got our work cut out for us."

2010 Terror Plot Against US Interests In South Africa : "Cops Not Ready"

The South African ruling party and its intelligence community are so focused on their [unfounded] fears of a perceived "white rightwing violence threat" -- that they have been ignoring the real threat -- mudslamic militancy. This was said by Hussein Solomon, head of the International Institute of islamic Studies in SA yesterday :

Mr Solomon, who is an expert on sand nigger militancy, warned in an article in The Mercury that the South African intelligence services are "woefully, inadequately prepared" for the potential threat of terrorism during the World Cup next year : telling the newspaper how he "had been trying to warn authorities for some time about the threat of islamic terrorist action during the World Cup."

He said international policing agency Interpol had already warned of such a threat but "the South African intelligence services did not seem to be listening. Our intelligence services are extremely politicised," Solomon was quoted as saying, adding that the intelligence services "would rather spy on investigative journalists to discover their sources than spy on potential terrorists. When I interact with our counter-intelligence people, they are more concerned about the Boeremag than al-Qaeda ... but they are acting from an ideological perspective which is fundamentally out of sync with reality."

In fact, said Solomon, head of the International Institute of islamic Studies at the University of Pretoria, islamic militants had already established cells in South Africa and even the international policing agency Interpol had been warning South Africa about this.

He was commenting in The Mercury newspaper on earlier reports that Somali terrorists linked to al-Qaeda have been planning to attack US interests inside South Africa. The Weekend Argus reported that the US government had closed its embassy in Pretoria and all other US government facilities for two days last month because intelligence agencies had intercepted a call from the township of Khayelitsha south of Cape Town to the al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabaab extremist group in Somalia, discussing a plot to blow up American interests.

This was apparently to be in retaliation for the US military's killing of an Al-Shabaab commander in southern Somalia. The US suspected the commander of having played a role in the fatal bombing of US embassies in Nairobi and Dar el Salaam in 1998. The sources added that the efforts by local intelligence agencies to trace the Cape Town Somalis was disrupted when police commissioner Bheki Cele went on national television to say that the country's intelligence structures were "on top of the situation". This prompted the Somalis to go further underground.

Solomon pointed to several instances where he said the local intelligence and security leadership had ignored potential terrorist threats for ideological reasons. He said the Pakistan government was convinced that two South Africans arrested in Pakistan after a gunfight between security forces and al-Qaeda elements a few years ago were linked to al-Qaeda. But these two men had simply been released on their return to South Africa. This also happened to two South Africans arrested in Uganda more recently. "Everyone outside this country seems to know who is threatening South Africa. We must not think we are protected because we are far away. Often these things have nothing to do with South Africa. They are just an opportunity to attack America."

Other sources said that Somali terrorists devised the strategy to take on the US in South Africa because it was easier than fighting the superpower in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Somalia. NIA spokeswoman Lorna Daniels refused to comment on the weekend reports. However, a source quoted in the Weekend Argus said : "What has been established is that the Cape guys are linked to al-Qaeda cells in Somalia, who are connected to the group in Afghanistan. We have established that most al-Qaeda operatives are relocating from Afghanistan to Pakistan, attracted by increased lawlessness in Pakistan.

"Our information is that there is a trail that links Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia and, most interestingly, Mozambique where Somalis have formed an anti-US cell already. The interception revealed that these people plan to move en masse from Mozambique to here [SA] in 2010 to attack American interests. Their point is that SA is not a target, but if South Africans are caught in the crossfire, then that would be unfortunate. Part of the intercepted conversations are on how America was stronger elsewhere but could be vulnerable here in South Africa."

This in spite of the US boosting security at its new premises in Sandton and Pretoria. US embassy spokeswoman Sharon Hudson-Dean refused to comment on the threat, saying : "We do not comment on intelligence matters."
An NIA official said yesterday: "This is classified information. If you publish it, this will jeopardise an operation already under way."

However, the source said Cele had already said publicly that intelligence officers were on the track of the extremists. "I do not mean to be alarmist, but the US was right to take these people seriously because, we now know that they have links with shady characters who have access to old military hardware in Eastern Europe," said the source.

The classic phrase for emboldening the mud comes to mind, "Blame Whitey."

In the minds of Blacks, if something can go wrong, it has to be Whitey's fault, because in the South Africoon Black utopia, there is no starvation, no crime, no injustice and no deprivation of rights. It's just the terrorist Whites looking to take revenge for the loss of face and power over Sambo. After all is said and done, what freedom loving Jigaboo would want to disrupt that bastion of Black supremacy? None of course!!! How dare I even begin to postulate such an outrageous concept as the existence of an angry, corrupt and incompetent Black man!  &:(

Germans Told To Wear Bullet-proof Vests

Germany's World Cup stars have been warned to expect to wear bullet-proof vests if they venture away from the team hotel at next year's tournament in South Africa. The head of Leverkusen-based security firm BaySecur, who look after the the German Football Federation [DFB] and their guests when the national team play away from Germany, says their stars like Michael Ballack must take extra care in South Africa.

BaySecur is one of the firms expected to be employed by the DFB while the team is involved in the tournament which runs from June 11 until July 11 when the final will be held at Johannesburg's Soccer City stadium. "The possibility for the players of moving outside of the hotel boundaries should be kept to a minimum," BaySecur's Guenter Schnelle told German magazine Sport-Bild.

"Otherwise there must be a full escort : armed security guards and bullet-proof vests for the players." The German Football Federation [DFB] are already looking to step up security around the team hotel in Pretoria for the World Cup. Because of high crime rates in the republic, the DFB are taking no risks with security, says their security boss Helmut Spahn, and are looking to recruit 20 extra security guards for the team's stay at their five-star accommodation.

Private bodyguards will protect the players both within and around the Velmore Grande hotel in Gauteng. "We will probably use more personnel than we would normally have," said Spahn, who will spend four days in South Africa next week looking at security arrangements. "We need to first of all get an idea of what security arrangements are already in place for both the team and the media.

"Then we will decide then whether to improve the security measures or whether they are sufficient." According to Spahn, there is little chance the DFB will rely only on local security guards in South Africa and Germany's federal police force is already in discussions with the DFB on the issue.

It's a pity the Whites in SA have no real fire in the belly or strategy. Then again.
I guess with 600,000 South African niggers a year dying of Aids- Nature is doing the retaliation for us.

Theres  that many guns though- I'm surprised no wronged Whites don't just go out hunting niggers for sport. Afterall with a good sniper rifle and a nigger corpse found in the dust next morning -it would be just attributed to "gang violence"- what could be easier?

I can't help think of all those dumb tourists going to the world cup though - sheep to the slaughter? Half will come home racist after being mugged. Half will come home with HIV. Don't know how many will be shot? sounds like great fun.

The fire is there ... be it a small one ... the fire still burns ... just waiting for some gasoline to be added. Although aids is a blessing from Nature, the White Man is going to need more drastic steps to win the battle here. Its the age-old problem the White Man suffers from worldwide - unorganized, not united and leaderless and still living in la-la land ... when last did we have a great White leader in the world ?

Of the aproximately 3.5 million Whites we stand against 50 million muds, 8 million of which is from zimudwe - what a task - no other "white" country in the world face these odds. Of the 3.5 million, a lot are British, passport ready ... ready to flee when the crap hits the fan - dual citizens like the israeli`s. These useful idiots together with their jewish masters were the first to tear down Apartheid ... and will be the first to run when the crap hits the fan ... leaving the rest over to their own fate in a hostile country. I hope they know when to take a plane ... otherwise their fate will be sealed with the rest that are still asleep. South Africa is a time bomb waiting to explode ... I`ve heard rumours that the niggers are waiting till after the world cup ... I think it could be any time.

But I see positivity ... the few that are awake will have to make their stand. Because we are so vastly outnumbered ... we WILL make the enemy come to us ... thats all I can say. The White Race will have to unite worldwide against the crimes being committed against Whites here. I have some gruesome pictures of farm murder and house robbery scenes that will shock the living day lights out of any right thinking person - I`ll wont post them here because they are horrific, but will post them in the gallery under "my pics - White Genocide". But be warned, they are horrific - if you dont have the stomach, and I dont blame you, dont even view them. I would urge Creators to send them around to get the message out or post them wherever you want. I`ll try get around to it tomorrow.

UK Issues SA Crime List To Soccer Fans

From avoiding widespread ATM fraud to "prudently driving around stones in the middle of the road" put there by gun-toting hijackers. These travel tips are part of the comprehensive guide from the British Foreign Office (FO) made available for UK soccer fans, who will be visiting South Africa for the World Cup.  Official advice from the FO warns visiting supporters on a variety of dangers, including armed muggings, card cloning and fake soccer tickets to a prevalent HIV/Aids pandemic, cholera flare-ups, and inflated accommodation prices.

And the alert button should be on from the moment fans land at OR Tambo International Airport, the guide tells UK fans. "During 2007 and 2008 there were a number of incidents involving foreigners being followed from OR Tambo International Airport in Joburg, to their destinations by car and then robbed, often at gunpoint," the official advice states. [ ... dont use GPS ... the shortest route my not be the safest ... as the shortest routes mostly lead through nigger infected areas !]

"We recommend you exercise particular caution in and around the airport and extra vigilance when driving away. As elsewhere, thieves like to operate at international airports, bus and railway stations. Keep your baggage with you at all times". Travel tips describe passport theft as "common", with 871 passports reported stolen between April 2008 and March 2009. "It is usually opportunist and non-violent, although some passports are taken during muggings."

Other advice includes staying completely clear of areas such as Berea and Hillbrow in Gauteng, hijacking possibilities on the roads to Kruger National Park and possible attacks on hikers around Table Mountain. The FO advice also states, "Be vigilant at all times in Durban's city centre and beachfront area. In all areas of South Africa, you should be cautious when out after dark. Streets, even in urban areas, are not brightly lit at night. If you are mugged or your car is hijacked, you should remain calm, offer no resistance and hand over possessions without question. Avoid eye contact". [ ... when they leave, take out your shotgun and help save the White Race !]

And some of the travel tips in true, understated British style, comment on the hazards of driving on South African roads, where it is advised "the standard of driving in South Africa can vary greatly and there are many fatal accidents every year. On highways, it is well worth remembering that overtaking can occur in any lane including, occasionally, the hard shoulder."

And travel insurance is highly encouraged as "not having insurance could cost over ?25 000 (R294 000) in medical bills and air evacuation, so ensure you're covered and with the high levels of crime, it is also important to insure any possessions". Yet amid this long list of potential threats to life and limb in South Africa, the Foreign Office does include a few lines of comfort to their soccer-loving supporters.

"However, most cases of crime occur in the townships and in areas away from the main tourist destinations. The South African authorities give high priority to protecting tourists and the risk to visitors travelling to the main tourist destinations is low." [ ... while they dont give a damn about White being slaughtered, as this does not put money in their pockets !]

Fans Group Red Card For World Cup Stab Vests :o

Stab vests sporting the England flag are being sold to fans bound for the World Cup - sparking claims the company behind them is cashing in on fears of South Africa's crime rate. It is claimed the £50 vests, which carry the cross of St George, will protect fans from stabs, cuts, slashes and blows from sharp-edged or spiked weapons. [ ... and I thought this was 2010 ... people still believing that a cross can save you from a knife]

But the Football Supporters Federation said wearing a stab vest at what should be a carnival of football was in bad taste and "smacked of panic" at South Africa's notoriously high crime rate. Spokesman Malcolm Clarke said it worked closely with the authorities and the Football Association to give fans security advice.

"Part of that advice will not include buying a stab vest," he said. "This will just panic people and introduce a degree of tension. They are not exactly going to endear fans to the host nation and we would advise them not to buy these things". The vests are being sold online by Protektorvest.com, a London-registered firm run by businessmen Sascha Cutura and Arno van Rooyen and can display the flag of a fan's choosing.

Mr Cutura said the vests were a model widely used by police forces in Africa and met European safety standards. He said he was disappointed people thought they were trying to induce fear in fans going to South Africa.

"The only thing we we want to do for the security conscious fan is come up with a solution and spread the message about knife crime," he said. "We feel the stab vests are a form of insurance in that if something happens you are covered."
Mr Cutura said there had been a lot of interest from around the world, especially the United States. "We are both football fans ourselves. We certainly don't want to offend South Africa but the risk is there," he added.

Unwanted Tickets a New Headache For World Cup

Hamburg - Demand for tickets for the World Cup in South Africa via national football associations has been low raising fears that not all the more than 3 million available for the tournament will be sold. With the deadline just over for sales from national associations for their teams' group games, it appears most of the allocated tickets will have to be returned to world governing body FIFA.

According to Germany's Sueddeutsche Zeitung, the German football federation DFB has only had around 1,000 orders for its allocation of 21,000 tickets for the three group games against Australia, Ghana and Serbia.  The English and Dutch associations, which traditionally have large fan followings, have also not managed to sell their contingents. The Dutch, who have sold between 2,000 and 3,000 tickets per group match but had reckoned on up to 10,000, have now asked FIFA to extend the deadline.

Elsewhere it has been the same story, prompting the Sueddeutsche Zeitung to ask : "If the three federations known for fans who like travelling (with their teams) have such problems what does it look like for Paraguay, Serbia or Honduras ?" The DFB would not comment on the ticket numbers. However, in the first of the five ticket sales phases, there were some 25,000 orders from Germany for all the 64 matches in the tournament from June 11 to July 11.

FIFA's third sales phase, which began on December 5, is underway until January 22 when an electronic random draw will take place if demand exceeds supply. According to FIFA at the end of last year there was strong initial demand, with applications reaching the 500,000 mark within the first 10 days of the third phase, of which 386,300 were from South African residents. In the first two phases only 53.6 per cent of the 674,403 sold were in South Africa.

South Africa's 2010 World Cup organizers said this week they were considering over-the-counter ticket sales due to the slow ticket applications for matches featuring the national team and other African countries. Danny Jordaan, head of the local organizing committee, said : "Usually the hosts are the ones who sell most tickets but Bafana Bafana does not even feature in the top 10 and it's a concern". [ ... racisms fault, no doubt]

Jordaan told Talk Radio 702 one reason for the sluggish sales was South Africa's "culture of waiting ... and buying late". [ ... no danny boy ... its SA crime rate] With Jordaan this week again forced to dismiss security concerns, this time following the gun attack on the Togo team at the Africa Cup of Nations, the poor ticket sales are another public relations setback for the organizers. However, it is hoped the next sales phase from February 9 until April 7 will see demand, when sales are on a first-come first-served basis, pick up.

The final sales phase will be from April 15 until the end of the tournament on July 11 at point of sale. South Africa media reports say the cost of tickets and the process on applying online - a facility not widely available to many people -has so far deterred local fans. The Times online wrote that the idea of having to apply for a ticket and then wait weeks to hear if the application has been successful is "a strange and foreign concept to most South African sports fans". [ ... as the majority are blacks]

It was "little surprise" that most South Africans are choosing to wait until the application process is complete, and they can simply go out and buy a ticket on a first-come, first-served basis, it said. Some tickets are being earmarked for free distribution for welfare institutions and clubs, as happened at the 2009 Confederations Cup in South Africa to help fill the stadiums.

But if sponsors as expected also begin returning large portions of their allocations, it could lead to a "festival of free tickets" at this year's tournament, the Sueddeutsche Zeitung wrote.

Camping At The World Cup - Tent Cities Multiply

Inflated prices for accommodation at the football World Cup in South Africa is forcing tour operators to think outside the box - or, in this instance, the walls of a hotel or guesthouse. South African media reported Monday that Johannesburg - venue of the opening game and final - would be endowed with a large campsite for the month of the tournament.

The Tent City campsite, which will be erected in Waverley Park neighbourhood in the city's well-heeled northern suburbs, will have space for nearly 1,500 people. Of these, 1,280 people will be able to rent space in 40 tents that will be subdivided into four- and six-bed all-male, all-female and mixed units, according to the City of Johannesburg website. A further 200 people will be allowed pitch their own one-man tents. [ ... dont forget your shotgun !]

Tent City is aimed at football fans aged between 18 and 30, who find themselves priced out of traditional accommodation, according to the organizers. With a little under four months to go until kick-off in the tournament on June 11, profiteering by hotel and guesthouse owners is rampant. Many are hiking their rates between three- and five-fold for the duration of the World Cup, making it difficult to find a double room for under 1,500 rand (196 dollars).

Apart from a place to sleep, Tent City will supply big television screens, a 24-hour fast-food outlet, laundromat, bowling alley and tight security, among other amenities. Johannesburg is not the first city to get a campsite for the World Cup but it may be the coolest. Night-time temperatures in South Africa's largest city, which is perched on a plateau around 1,600 metres above sea level, often fall below freezing in winter, when the World Cup is being held.

The tents, which will cost a cool 530 rand (70 dollars) per person per night, according to The Times newspaper, will be fitted with heaters. Some space will be kept over for people to pitch their own tents for 330 rand a night. Meanwhile, a similar initiative in the port city of Durban on the Indian Ocean, has fallen foul of the community, the Sunday Times newspaper reported.

Residents of an upmarket Durban suburb were reported as being up in arms over plans to erect a campsite on the grounds of a local school. "I do not want to have 3,000 drunk Aussies in my face for two months," one resident was quoted as saying of the campsite at Northlands Primary School, which is being marketed to Australian football fans and fits 200 people, according to the manager.

Fear of residents' wrath had led tour operator Fanatics, which describes itself as "Australia's best-known sports fans' and favourite sport and party tour company" to shy away from using schools in balmy Durban as campsites, the Sunday Times reported. Fanatics has opted to set up camp at the city's Sahara cricket stadium, which is situated near Moses Mabhida football stadium, a World Cup semi-final venue, the paper said.

Old SA Flag Banned From Stadium

Cape Town - The old South African flag has been banned from Cape Town's 2010 soccer stadium, along with items such as teargas and pointy umbrellas. The flag is on a list of forbidden items displayed at entrances to the 68 000-seater showpiece, which on Monday hosted a whistlestop visit from a group of invited local and international media.

It is listed just above "banners or flags with content that can reasonably be considered to be sexist, racist, vulgar, discriminatory, inflammatory or offensive". Also banned are fireams, ammunition, knives, and any sharp or pointed metal object which could be reasonably considered a dangerous weapon. "Even an umbrella with a long extending metal point could be regarded as such," the notice says.

Cup local organising committee chief Danny Jordaan said he was unaware of the restriction on the old flag, and did not know if it was in force at other 2010 stadia in the country. Cape Town mayor Dan Plato said what had happened at upcountry sporting events where people displayed the old flag had "caused some embarrassment". We don't want that same embarrassment to take place here," he said.

"We want rather to say to people, the old South African flag is not a recognised national flag anymore and we don't want people unnecessarily to embarrass South Africa and to embarrass Cape Town. Let us rather be patriotic and act as good patriots of the country. If you're a South African, for what reason are you going to bring a flag which is not a national flag anymore ? What are your motives for it ?" [ ... because we dont feel part of this country anymore ?]

In some quarters the old flag, with its blue, white and orange stripes, is seen as a symbol of the apartheid regime, and considered highly offensive. However others point out that it predated apartheid by some 20 years. It was replaced in 1994 with the current multi-coloured flag.

40,000 Prostitutes For World Cup

Officials are warning that tens of thousands of sex workers could enter South Africa during this year's World Cup, and that children are at risk of being targeted by the sex trade. World Cup organizers say up to 40,000 prostitutes were recruited for this year's event, which takes place in a country where 16 percent of the population is believed to be living with HIV.

Officials also raised the possibility that local children would be recruited into the prostitution business partly due to the fact that World Cup takes place during a four week national school holiday. The concerns were raised at a meeting of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.

Davis Bayever, South Africa's deputy chair of the country's Central Drug Authority, said his government feared the large influx of sex workers and pledged an attempt to stem the tide. "It's horrific and very concerning," Bayever said. "Money talks, and if you're a sex worker then there is going to be money in South Africa in 2010". Bayever said that passport checks, screening, and profiling will take place at the borders to try and prevent illegal arrivals [ ... as if thats going to stop them ... SA`s borders have been open for mud scum the last 16 years].

He believes the women will be traveling from all over the world, especially Eastern Europe. Especially troubling was the prospect that impoverished children would be lured into sex work by the country's sordid drug and prostitution underworld. "There is no doubt that they will be targeted to become prostitutes," Bayever said. "Children from poor rural families will be given a carrot by criminals who tell them they will have a job if they come to the big city."
Around 450,000 fans are expected to travel to South Africa to attend this year's World Cup [... this remains to be seen]

"We Will Disrupt The WC2010 Football Tournaments"

Beeld journalist Virginia Keppler reported that the Mamelodi-East protestors also openly threatened to massively disrupt the forthcoming football-tournaments. "If the government can act so efficiently to prepare for the WC2010 and spends so many millions of Rands on it, it's a disgrace that people now are still living in such dismal squatter camps, ' said resident Vusi Nkosi. "The football means nothing to us – we can't watch it anyway without electricity,' he said. "We will fight and toi-toi [stone-age dance] just like the ANC has taught us...'

At Oukasie near Brits about 5,000 residents marched to the local municipal offices. Local community leader Ms Veronica Mphahlele said the government had promised them in 2000 that they would get 'permanent housing and land of our own'. It's now ten years later and we are still squatting in the ame place. Instead the municipality just sends in the police to come and shoot us,' she said. She said there are widespread accusations by Oukasie residents that 'town councillors, the police and the metro-police are enriching themselves by selling off houses built for the poor for their self-enrichment'.

The local MEC for public housing and local government admitted that 'they have a large backlog in building public housing because of the difficulties of obtaining new municipal land.' The government did promise to build 5,000 new houses, he admitted. Local community leader Absalom Boroto issued a public call for national housing minister and multi-millionaire Tokyo Sexwale to 'hold a meeting with them so that we can submit proof of all these empty promises made to us over the years'

SAPS dismisses terrorist threat from huge explosive find

Accidential discovery of massive explosives cache should set all the alarm bells ringing...

Despite an open threat from the Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) terrorist group that they will attack the large crowds of Westerners attending the WC2010 tournaments and warnings from top SA security experts -- the SAPS ("police") dismisses any suspicions that the two and a half tons of commercial explosives and thousands of metres of explosive cord accidentially found at a house in South Hills. Johannesburg could have been just the tip of the iceberg – nor that the presence of such massive stolen explosives-caches could pose any kind of terrorist threat.

Although the SAPS have yet to question all the suspects and are still looking for other members of the crime-network, they are focused only on their conviction that this explosives cache would only be used to blow up ATB-cash machines... and nothing else, apparently.

Meanwhile the SA security services ignore the threats from the Islamic Maghreb – and instead prefer to concentrate on far-fetched claims from their own paid agent-provocateurs who have infiltrated Afrikaner-Boer political groups that there are 'far-right white-racist murder plots' afoot ...

Meanwhile the ATM-robber gangs are already waging a terrorist-style warfare campaign against the SAPS for control of the country's streets – and in many townships the gangs ow run things, including local polics stations.
