Almost All Pennsylvania Schools Now Teach About Holocaust

Three years after a bill prioritizing Holocaust instruction in Pennsylvania schools was signed, the state Board of Education reported that a commanding 90 percent of schools now provide age-appropriate education on the Holocaust, genocide and human rights violations as a standing part of their curricula. A survey on the bill, Act 70, conducted by an ad hoc committee, reported that 710 of the state's 775 school entities are in compliance. Many districts and charter schools offer instruction on multiple levels. While the instruction was not mandated, it was "encouraged," said board officials ... State education officials lauded the effort to enact Act 70's provisions at a press conference on Nov. 9 arranged by the Pennsylvania Jewish Coalition, which represents Jewish communities throughout the state.

Mark Weber, an American historian and director of the Institute for Historical Review, has been banned from Britain. British authorities decline to provide any explanation for or details about the ban. Weber, who has violated no British (or American) law, apparently is forbidden to enter the UK solely because authorities do not approve of views he has expressed ... The UK government routinely bans visitors "if their presence would not be conducive to the public good." ... UK officials almost certainly banned Weber to comply with the wishes of Jewish-Zionist groups, which openly expressed their unhappiness with him after he gave a talk on April 11, 2015, to a meeting in London titled "The Danger and Challenge of Jewish-Zionist Power."

Extract: Poland's leaders will not be allowed to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump or Vice President Mike Pence until Warsaw repeals its controversial new Holocaust law. Polish web portal Onet.pl (owned by Axel Springer, also a co-owner of Politico Europe) on Tuesday reported that it had obtained a memo from Washington dated February 20 about the law, which makes it illegal to suggest that the Polish state or the Polish nation were complicit in Nazi crimes. The information has been confirmed by other Warsaw-based media. U.S. State Department officials also reportedly warned that the U.S. might withhold funding for joint military projects in Poland because of the law, including the stationing of U.S. troops in the country as part of NATO defense efforts.
