ABORIGINAL leaders have told the ABC racial tensions are set to explode at Logan, south of Brisbane, after a weekend of violent clashes.

The drama began on Saturday night when several carloads of Pacific Islanders allegedly attacked two cars and a house at Woodridge, the ABC reports.

It's alleged bats, machetes, poles and bricks were used in the attack and there was a threat to burn down the house, forcing 11 people inside to take shelter in a back room.

Greg Barlow has told the ABC no one in the house knew what was going on and kept dialling triple zero, but police took more than an hour to show up.

"We called them about 15 times. Some of the fellas that was in that back room was crying. They thought they were gone. They threatened to burn the house down," he told the broadcaster.

There were further clashes in the same street overnight, but no one was seriously hurt, the ABC said.

AAP has sought comment from police about the response time during Saturday night's incident.

A police statement about the disturbance contained few details.

It said a number of police units had responded to reports of property being damaged at a Douglas Street residence, and that officers have launched a wilful damage investigation.

A police spokesman told AAP there was a report of a second street disturbance in Woodridge overnight, but did not have details.

Police later said two males had been arrested over Sunday night's disturbance.

A 17-year-old and a 21-year-old, both from Slacks Creek, have been charged with causing a public nuisance and obstructing police.

They will appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court, the teenager on January 28 and the man on February 28

No, I used to live in Woodridge, and this was always a common occurrence there. Abo gangs fighting each other; Abos fighting Polynesians; Bars under siege for evicting Abo gangs; Whites under attack just for being White. Woodridge was a ghetto in the 80's and 90's and it has only become worse with time and an influx of Polynesians to rival the Abo population, and the importation of other groups of illegal aliens with their own racial agendas. The only surprise is that the above news report actually got into the national press, rather than swept under the rug with the other filth, like it always was.

Believe it or not Abbos are racist to each other and there is this horrid community in the NT called "Port keats" AKA "Wadeye". This region is the size of Tasmania and it houses multiple clans of Abbos who speak other tounges. They HATE each other , they riot involving groups of upto 300 people and it is indeed a "race riot" and acts of "multicultural intollerance" but I guess you guys down south never even heard of this place and the level of trouble that brews up there?
If there was a riot involving "race" or "multicultural intollerance" in perhaps Sydney it'd be broadcast all over the world. But hush hush keep this on the low level I guess.

EIGHT people have been arrested for unlawful entries in the remote community of Wadeye, about 400km southwest of Darwin.
This follows 10 arrests on Monday after an ongoing unrest from a family dispute caused a riot and fighting on Sunday.
NT Police senior constable Andrew Nicholson said two youths aged 14 and 15 and a 25-year-old man were arrested and charged over an unlawful entry in a private home on December 21.
"All three were charged with aggravated unlawful entry, damage to property, stealing, trespass and posses liquor in a restricted area," he said.
Police also arrested four people over two separate unlawful entries at the Our Lady of Sacred Heart School in Wadeye on December 24 and 26.
Four men aged 18, 19 and 20 were charged with aggravated unlawful entry, damage to property, trespass, stealing and armed with an offensive weapon.

LONG-TERM residents of a Territory community plagued by civil unrest have said the latest riots sparked by the death of a gang leader were the "worst in 50 years'', a court heard.
Darwin Magistrates Court was told that violence was "guaranteed' in Wadeye up to and after the Judas Priest gang leader's funeral on November 23.
Police prosecutor Justene Dwyer told magistrate Sally Sievers there was a four-hour riot between the Judas Priest gang and rivals Evil Warriors and Slayer on October 22.
Evil Warrior member Theodore Dulla, 18, pleaded guilty to his involvement yesterday.
Sergeant Dwyer said he was armed with two pieces of metal reinforcement bar during the "large violent disturbance'' - that was reported to involve up to 200 people - outside the community store from midday------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

POLICE say arrests 'are a last resort' as they seek to defuse racial violence that erupted in Logan for the third night in a row.

Police today defended their response to racial tensions in the city, south of Brisbane.

Logan Mayor Pam Parker had called for a "zero tolerance" approach and an increase police presence after Pacific Islanders and Aborigines were involved in a dispute for a third night.

Mr Stewart called on elders and church groups to get involved to help resolve the racial tension.

"This is not going to be fixed in a day, this is not going to be fixed in a week," he said.

"I know that the churches get very much involved down there because they have very large followings of both culture groups and I ask them to take as much action as necessary to get a peaceful resolution to these current tensions." [more ...]
