The 4 second free fall from the Golden Gate Bridge ends abruptly 75 meters later and 121 kilometres per hour at the waters of the San Francisco Bay. Many hundreds have jumped (official records are no longer kept), only 3 have survived. Most people choose to jump from the middle of the bridge on the east side.
