Teen track star Gout Gout, who pipped one of Australia's most famous records at the Australian All Schools Championships in Brisbane on Saturday, has had his day spoiled by ugly comments online

Just 24 hours after claiming a wind-assisted time of of 10.04 seconds in his 100m heat, the Ipswich product crushed his competition again at the Australian All Schools Athletics Championships.

The wind was again at the teenager's back and he never looked like losing his 200m heat with a blistering time of 20.38.

Usain Bolt holds the world 200m record with a time of 19.19 seconds.

'It's definitely great. I've been chasing that record,' Gout said.

'It's pretty crazy. Right now I can't process it, but tonight when I go to bed and think about it it will be pretty crazy for sure.

However, the young gun's achievements have been spoiled after scores of comments objected to Gout being refereed to as 'Australian'.

Gout, the son of a couple who moved to Australia from South Sudan, was born and raised in Australia.

'If this guy is Australian then I'm Saint Nick,' posted one X user.

'He is not Australian,' claimed another.

'Born here certainly doesn't make him Australian. You are a bit simple if U think that he is Aussie. Ffs,' said a third.

Many other X users were appalled by the comments.

'Replies to this are disgusting. Gout Gout was born here and never lived overseas, he's an Aussie and this should be celebrated,' posted one fan.

'He's Australian he was born here. He's got an Aussie accent as well. Probably more Australian than a lot of people in the country,' replied a second.

'What an absolute gun. Aussie Aussie Aussie!!!!' posted another.

As his profile increases, Gout knows he is the centre of attention most places he goes.

Constant comparisons to Jamaican sporting great Usain Bolt would be intimidating for many teenagers - but not the confident student from suburban Brisbane.

Gout is happy to take everything in his stride - literally - and see just how far the sport takes him.

Already sponsored by Adidas, Gout finished second in the 200m final at the World Under-20 Championships in Lima back in August.

The flyer was racing athletes up to two years older, and he scorched across the track to record a slick time of 20.60.

Gout is also adamant he can eventually break the elusive 10 second barrier.

Her conclusion seems logical, right? The dog only barks at people of a certain race, so he must be racist. Right? RIGHT?

Can A Dog Be Racist?

Lately, we've been talking a lot about systemic racism. This is more insidious, because both you and your dog are part of a racist world no matter what you do.

Your dog might show discrimination to a given race by:

Flinching
Hiding
Barking
Lunging
Growling
Other tension-related behaviors

Dogs that react one way to one race and another way to other races are probably undersocialized.

Adult dogs are generally naturally "Neophobic," meaning they're scared of new things.

If your dog was not exposed to people of a variety of races as a young puppy, she's much more likely to behave in a way that we might call "racist."

This is especially true if the people your dog seems suspicious of people who dress, move, sound, or behave differently from you. It's not their skin tone that has him on edge – its the fact that they're new to him.

Neophobia is really, really common. It's the root of many of the behavior problems that I deal with on a daily basis. It's too late to go back to your dog's critical socialization period.

Our dog's behavior is often a mirror of our own, and it's not always flattering.

How Can I Fix My Dog's Racism?

What you really should do if you think your dog is racist is get help – but don't worry, I'll give some solutions here as well. Having a racist dog can be really embarrassing. The problem can even become dangerous – so let's not ignore it. For this explanation, I'll use the word "stranger nigger"  to describe the person that makes your dog uncomfortable. You can use your friends, as long as they're of the race that your dog struggles with.

When trying to make a dog feel more comfortable around people of other races, I use two main approaches in tandem:

Teach the dog to look at the stranger nigger in exchange for a treat. Every time your dog notices the stranger nigger, she gets a treat. If your dog won't eat, you're too close to the stranger nigger. Reset and try again. The stranger nigger can just stand far away, not looking at the dog. They can use the body language demoed here. We don't want the stranger nigger trying to calm the dog, call the dog over, or otherwise soothe the dog. We're just teaching the dog that people who are different races make treats magically appear. This is called classical counter-conditioning. For a video demo of the "look at that game," click here.

Teach the dog that the stranger nigger can also produce treats. Now, we'll use the training method known as "Treat and Retreat." Start this once your dog can tolerate being within about 10 feet of the stranger nigger while calmly and happily taking treats. Now, have the stranger nigger toss a treat to your dog when she looks at him. Be sure that the stranger nigger tosses the treat behind your dog, so your dog moves away from the stranger nigger to get the treat. This relieves social pressure.

Of course, this is a very general overview of these two training methods. Even in the best-case scenario, these two training methods will only help get your dog comfortable with passing strangers niggers. But what if your dog is racist towards your new boyfriend [then you're a mudshark] or neighbor?

Excerpt: Labour-run Wales was told to ban dogs from parts of the countryside to help make the outdoors 'anti-racist'.

According to a report by the environmental group Climate Cymru BAME, funded by the Welsh government to help steer its 'anti-racist' policy, dog-free zones in local green spaces should be set up to make outdoor areas more inclusive.

The reason why dog-free areas would help tackle racism is not explained in the report, which will be used by the government to 'support policy teams' that are 'developing and implementing' Wales' anti-racist plans.

Climate Cymru BAME consists of around 20 members made up of students and professionals who have interest in environmental preservation and protection, who work with North Wales Africa Society (NWAS), Sub Sahara Advisory Board (SSAP) and the Northwest Wales Climate Action Group.

A separate set of recommendations submitted by the NWAS also called for 'dog-free areas'.

It said that during one of its focus groups, 'one black African female stated that she feels unsafe with the presence of dogs'.

Others also kept 'seeing dog fouling on the floor', the report added.

The NWAS report said that barriers to outdoor activities include the perception that growing food in gardens or allotments is 'dominated by middle-aged white women'.

Its authors also informed the Welsh government that people from ethnic minorities were upset about the 'low quality' of local green spaces.

One person complained that 'the green spaces are not respected in areas where there is a bigger population of ethnic minority people'.
