Excerpt: The ale was launched three years ago by craft brewers Moon Gazer, which names its beers after alternative terms for hares from folklore.

Its choices are inspired by a 13th century poem titled Names Of The Hare, and also include Jigfoot, Pintail, and Nibbler. The White Face is a mountain hare with a brown coat that turns white in winter for camouflage in the snow.

The Names Of The Hare poem is said to have been written to be recited by a hunter on his first encounter with a hare, and includes 77 names for hares. Originally written in Middle English, its author is unknown.

An MSNBC columnist has been mocked for writing an op-ed warning that the far-right is using exercise as a means of recruiting new supporters.

Cynthia Miller-Idriss, a researcher in extremism and a professor in the School of Public Affairs and in the School of Education at American University in Washington D.C., wrote the article outlining her concerns.

Entitled 'Pandemic fitness trends have gone extreme — literally,' the article claimed that 'white supremacists' latest scheme to valorize violence and hypermasculinity has gone digital.'

On Monday, she was mocked online for the piece with Elon Musk and Joe Rogan slamming the idea that working out is tied to extremism.

'MSNBC thinks you're a nazi if you work out lmaooo,' Musk tweeted. Later he claimed, 'Parody & reality are becoming indistinguishable.'

'Being healthy is 'far right.' Holy f***,' podcaster Joe Rogan exclaimed on Twitter.

'Recruits are encouraged to link individual moral virtues such as willpower, decisiveness and courage, with desired collective traits such as virility and manliness.

'This also works in reverse, with white supremacists encouraging potential recruits or activists to stay in good physical shape as a way of managing self-presentation to the public.'

Miller-Idriss pointed out the far right's embrace of physical fitness is not new, noting how Hitler encouraged boxing and jujitsu.

Teachers, governors and pupils are leaving a 'toxic' primary school in droves over allegations of 'commonplace' racism, bullying and serious failings


St Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, has lost around a third of its pupils as parents pull their children out amid a plethora of concerns

Causing the most consternation is an allegation that in November 2021, the headteacher Sue Woods - who took over headship in late 2019 - used the N-word to describe a group of black children.

The whistleblower, an experienced and long-serving teacher, claims that she was put on a support plan and told to complete demeaning tasks, became frightened at work and felt victimised.

She resigned in May 2022, citing that 'I did not feel I could continue working in a school where racism, bullying and victimisation were commonplace, especially when such allegations were covered up

Following the alleged incident, all school staff were sent on a diversity awareness course.

Wiltshire Police said (26 July 2023) that it was investigating an allegation relating to staff conduct, but confirmed that it did not relate to children at St Joseph's.

They said: 'An allegation involving staff conduct has been reported to Wiltshire Police. It would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage.'

The whistleblower isn't the only teacher to have walked out, with about 22 staff leaving since the new head's arrival. In the past three months alone, three staff members have resigned including the assistant headteacher.

Many of them cited Mrs Woods' behaviour as the reason in exit interviews and at least two staff members were close to taking their own lives, according to an insider.

Over the past four years, the school has seen a dive in pupil numbers. Before Mrs Woods' takeover, the school had around 150 pupils and was regularly oversubscribed.

In September this year, the reception class will host just four children. The rapid fall in pupil numbers has resulted in a reduction of classes from five to four, with the loss of a teacher and teaching assistant post.

According to an Ofsted Parent View questionnaire carried out earlier this year, 82 percent of parents were unsatisfied with the school's ability to support SEND children and 45 percent of parents who partook said they would not recommend the school to other parents

The UK store taken swift action after an eagle eyed customer noted what appeared to be a racist book in one of its ads.

A professional moron on Twitter asked, "Uhhh B & Q can you explain why you have a product picture featuring two books that say 'white supremacy'?".

Another customer told UK newspaper the Doncaster Free Press that he "couldn't believe" when he was seeing.

"I'm sure lots of people would be massively offended seeing something like that. I can't believe how it managed to get on there."

The DIY retailer, one of Europe's biggest, replied on social media that the confronting title wasn't seen when the advert was being approved.

"We deeply apologise for the offence this may have caused from a product that was offered for sale by a third-party seller.

"B&Q is committed to creating an inclusive place for our colleagues to work."

The book's cover design, colours and font looked similar to a book published by Stanford University Press in 2011 called State of White Supremacy.
