I agree. But unfortunately I am the only creator that I know of so it's quite dangerous for me to flyer. If I had more people with me it would be safer.
Lots of things you can do legally and covertly. Go to the Library with the fliers and insert them inside books like minded people can read.
If it is ok for the old lady who lost her cat to put up a flyer on a lamp post or public property then you can too as long as there is no permanent damage.
Public pin boards (don't expect the material to last long though).
Stickers with an adhesive back are better to use. Just walk around, slap a few of them on the back of road signs. People stop at lights and see that. They won't get out of the car to remove them. Bus stops. People need something to do when waiting for the bus. Stick them high, so it is a chore to try tear them off. Put them under glass.

You just need an implement to push the material under the glass. Others will need tools to undo the glass to pull it out. Or under a bus schedule display.
