Title: I Like My New Avatar!
Post by: N567 on Mon 15 Feb 2021
The Ford Mustang is a legendary car, when the Ford GT40 was designed by Carrol Shelby in 1964 it had 2 important features that would enable it to set a speed record of 351km/h and win the 24-Hour Le Mans Race 5 times in a row:

A-390 Aluminum Alloy Cylinders - aside from using A-390 aluminum alloy engine blocks in the GT40s which were invented by General Motors in the 1950s to reduce the weight of engines while simultaneously increasing the power output of the engines by increasing heat dissipation because aluminum has better thermal conductivity than steel which allows for more fuel and air to be pumped into the combustion chamber without damaging the engine, Carrol Shelby invented aluminum alloy cylinders to reduce engine weight and increase engine power even further. In the movie Ford vs Ferrari, the Ferrari racecar stalled when trying to catch up to the Ford GT40 because its engine has a lower limit to its power output since it is only made of steel which has a lower thermal conductivity than aluminum.

Fiberglass Body - Carrol Shelby invented the fiberglass body for cars to further reduce the weight of the GT40.

The driver of the GT40, Ken Miles, also introduced his own innovations:

Aerodynamic Under-Chassis Wedges - Ken Miles invented these wedges which are placed underneath the chassis of the GT40 and near the wheels of the car to deflect incoming wind, preventing wind traps from forming and reducing drag.

Bonded Aluminum Chassis - Ken Miles invented the bonded aluminum chassis to reduce the weight of the GT40 even further because aluminum is 3 times lighter than steel but 2 times stronger.

I was wondering how you were going to react to the Avatar, but I just couldn't resist when I found it.

... And I'm always up for some car history.  :ok

I would also like to add that Henry Ford invented the sports car when he introduced the Ford Model T Roadster in 1908. With a top speed of 97km/h, it was, at the time, the fastest ground vehicle on Earth not running on rails.

Throughout the 20th century Ford dominated speed records for automobiles.

The 1st speed record was set in 1908 by the aforementioned Ford Model T Roadster at 97km/h.

The next record was set by Ford in 1932 when Henry Ford introduced an improved version of the Model T Roadster, the Model B Roadster and it used the following features to set a new record of 193km/h:

Gasoline V-Engine - the v-engine has its pistons placed at opposite ends of each other and at 45 degree angles creating a v shape, which deflects the forces created by the reciprocating motion of the pistons and reduces vibrations, increasing engine efficiency by ensuring that more power is transmitted to the wheels instead of being wasted by generating vibrations.

Supercharger - invented by Dugald Clerk, the supercharger is a turbine, powered by a connection to the engine's fan belt, that compresses the fuel-air mixture entering the combustion chamber so that more fuel and air can be accumulated in it, producing a more powerful explosion, increasing the engine's output.

Turbocharger - invented by Sanford Alexander Moss while working for General Electric, the turbocharger works in the same way as a supercharger expect that it uses a turbine powered by the exhaust of the engine to turn the turbo-compressor that compresses the fuel-air mixture.

Anti-Knock Additives for Fuel - invented by Thomas Midgely, the anti-knock additive raises the auto-ignition temperature of the fuel so that it does not prematurely ignite when a large amount of fuel is compressed in the combustion chamber. This ensures that a larger amount of fuel can be compressed in the combustion chamber without the fuel detonating before the intake valve closes, the piston reaches the top dead center, and the spark plug ignites the fuel-air mixture to initiate the ignition stroke. This enables the engine to generate more power and allows the vehicle to run faster.

Streamlined Body - invented by Howard Hughes, who in an experiment to increase the speed of automobiles carrying the chase cameras he uses in his movies, removed the boxy, conventional trunks of the cars and replaced them with trunks that had a streamlined boat-tail shape. This increased the top speed of his vehicles from 100km/h to 160km/h, setting an automobile speed record not broken until the introduction of the Ford Model B Roadster.

Pneumatic Tubed Radial Tires - invented by Harvey Firestone in 1931, these types of tires are made of rubber and filled with air in order to absorb the shock and vibrations from the ground and reduce the overall vibrations of the vehicle, increasing the vehicle's propulsion efficiency because no energy is wasted generating vibrations. In order to mass produce these tires, Firestone needed a cheaper and more abundant source of rubber so he contracted his friend, the owner of GE, Thomas Edison, to find a way to increase the supply of rubber. Through a series of groundbreaking cross-breeding experiments, Edison creates a new species of tree called the Goldenrod and invents a 2-part acid-base latex extraction machine to mass produce rubber from the extracted tree sap. With Firestone no longer dependent on expensive Malaysian rubber for his tires, the cost of Firestone's tires decrease and he becomes the leading supplier of tires in the world. Edison also benefits from his research because it allows him to replace the cloth and wood insulators and sealants that he uses on the electrical appliances he manufactures with the cheaper, more durable, and more insulating rubber.

Another record was again set by Ford in 1964 when Ford introduced the aforementioned GT40 and it used the following features, aside from the ones mentioned in the opening post, to set a new record of 351km/h:

Power Steering - invented by Earl A. Thompson, while working for General Motors, in 1940 for use in the GM Hydra-Matic, the 1st car with hydraulic control systems that also include hydraulic power braking and hydraulic automatic transmission, hydraulic power steering uses hydraulic actuators to turn the wheel assembly instead of relying only on manual effort provided by a direct connection between the steering wheel and the wheel assembly using gears. Hydraulic power steering uses an engine powered pump to draw fluid from a reservoir. When the steering wheel is turned, it opens one of 2 valves depending on which direction the steering wheel is turned so that when the right valve is turned, it goes into an inlet that is placed on the left side of the hydraulic actuators to push the wheels to the right and vice versa. Hydraulic power steering is more efficient than manual steering because it experiences less friction since it uses hydraulic fluid instead of gears to transmit power and it is easier to turn the wheel assembly, especially when turning at curves while running at high speeds, because aside from having less friction, power steering uses the power of a hydraulic pump to do the actual steering of the wheel assembly with the driver merely controlling the direction of the wheel's rotation using the steering wheel.

Fuel Injection - 1st used on General Motors cars in the 1950s, the fuel injector is a nozzle that atomizes the fuel-air mixture entering the intake valve so that the fuel is completely burned when it is ignited in the combustion chamber. This ensures that no fuel is wasted as un-burnt residue exiting the exhaust of the vehicle, increasing engine efficiency and power output.

Transverse Mounted Engine - invented by British inventor Alec Issigonis in 1964, the transverse mounted engine is placed with its pistons parallel to the rest of the car. This decreases the length and overall size of the cowl and chassis that holds the engine in place, reducing the weight of the vehicle in order to increase speed and fuel economy by reducing the power that the engine needs to generate in order to accelerate the vehicle to a certain speed.

Transverse Engine Cowl - also invented by British inventor Alec Issigonis in 1964, this is the cowl used to cover transverse mounted engine.

Front Wheel Drive - also invented by British inventor Alec Issigonis in 1964, this is the transmission system for the transverse mounted engine. It is placed parallel to the engine and is connected using a drive chain, or a hydraulic hose and a torque converter in the case of hydraulic automatic transmission, which is then connected to the front wheels using drive shafts protruding out of the transmission system. To enable the wheels to spin even when the wheels are rotated by the steering wheel when the car has to make a turn, the drive shafts are connected to articulated joints placed near the front wheels. The use of a front wheel drive eliminates the need for a universal joint connected to the rear wheels which further reduces the weight of the vehicle, causing an additional increase in speed and fuel economy.

Thanks for the link to the video!

That was the year Ford introduced the record breaking Ford Model B Roadster which set a speed record of 193km/h, the same year Henry Ford invented the revolutionary V8 engine.

Thanks to the invention of the motion picture camera by Thomas Edison in 1891 along with his invention of the kinetoscope, the forerunner of the television, also in 1891, and Philo Farnsworth's invention of the electronic television in 1929, Ford was able to televise the launch of his revolutionary new world record setting sports car, the Ford Model B Roadster.

Ford was a rabid anti-semite and won the Iron Eagle from Germany for supporting the regime of Adolf Hitler. The other polymaths of the time such as Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison, Nikola Tesla, George Westinghouse, Philo Farnsworth, Charles Lindbergh, and Howard Hughes were also rabid anti-semites and rabid anti-communists.

Let us not forget the anti-communist scientists who defected from the USSR such as Vladimir Zworykin, the inventor of the cathode-ray tube, David Sarnoff, inventor of the radio and television broadcasting stations, and Igor Sikorsky, the inventor of the 1st passenger plane, Ilya Muromets, which set a record speed of 110km/h, and the helicopter.

National Socialist scientists like Joseph Mengele who was in charge of Germany's selective human breeding experiment, the 1st of its kind in history, defected to the Americas and contributed to the 2 continent's economic growth by establishing agricultural and medical enterprises that pioneered breakthroughs in agricultural and medical science. While Werner von Braun, who invented guided missiles such as the V-1 cruise missile and the V-2 ballistic missile and went on to design the Saturn V rocket that took astronauts to the moon, was brought to the USA after World War 2 in Operation Paperclip.

Japanese scientists like Dr. Shiro Ishii, who invented weaponized anthrax, were also brought to the USA through Operation Paperclip and they too helped the USA with its scientific and technological progress.

There is now a television series that exposes the anti-semitism of our White Polymaths called Hunters, where some of them are even hunted down by Jews for being supporters of National Socialist Germany or even actual members of the National Socialist German Workers' Party.

Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hunters_(2020_TV_series)

The irony in this show is that the Jews thought they were running the world but the Germans staying in North and South America were the ones who actually infiltrated higher positions in the governments of the countries in those 2 continents and even established billion dollar enterprises in media, banking, agriculture, medicine, and aerospace technology.

Now who is the Master Race Jew?

You tried to crush us in World War 2 but we ended up controlling the world anyway.

We also won the Cold War because China and Vietnam underwent economic reforms and the USSR collapsed.

What is amazing is that despite the 1st automobile, which was steam powered, being invented by Nicholas Joseph Cugnot in 1769 in France and the 1st gasoline powered automobile being invented by Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler in 1885 in Germany, America introduced almost all of the succeeding innovations in automotive technology, which would make the automobile practical and a mass market phenomenon, below is a timeline of these innovations:

1908 - Henry Ford invents the moving assembly line consisting of conveyor belts, rollers, and overhead gantry cranes along with vertical integration in order to mass produce automobiles. He also introduces all of the mass produced variations of the automobile such as mass produced sedans, roadsters, vans, pickup trucks, trucks, fuel tanker trucks and buses. Ford also introduces mass produced agricultural equipment such as tractors and combine harvesters which he calls Fordsons. Ford also introduces the first sports car, the Ford Model T Roadster which has a record breaking top speed of 97km/h during this time.

1914 - Thomas Edison invents the first mass market electric car that uses his patented alkaline, nickel-iron and nickel-iron alkaline batteries to reach a top speed of 40km/h and have a range of 145km. Though not as successful as the gasoline or diesel powered alternatives because the batteries only last for a few months due to leakages and the batteries take 8 hours to fully recharge, Edison manages to sell 35,000 units. Edison also invents the charging station for electric cars and even has one in his house, which is made of poured Edison concrete that he also invented.

1920s - Nikola Tesla invents the spark plug and starter motor for internal combustion engines, eliminating the need for crank starters and flint igniters for the gasoline engines: which can wear out more easily than spark plugs because of friction.

1920s - Howard Hughes invents the streamlined automobile body in an experiment to increase the speed of automobiles carrying the chase cameras he uses in his movies. He removed the boxy, conventional trunks of the cars and replaced them with trunks that had a streamlined boat-tail shape. This increased the top speed of his vehicles from 100km/h to 160km/h, setting an automobile speed record not broken until the introduction of the Ford Model B Roadster.

1932 - Ford sets a new automobile speed record with his Ford Model B Roadster which has a top speed of 193km/h. He invents the v-engine and incorporates other innovations in his new car as mentioned in this previous post: https://creativityalliance.com/forum/general-jabber/i-like-my-new-avatar!/msg38087/#msg38087

1933 - Buckminster Fuller invents the Dymaxion Car, the 1st car to be made of aluminum and the 1st unibody tricycle. It has a top speed of 145km/h. Though unibody tricycles do not become popular in the West, the become a hit in Asia where they are called auto rickshaws.

1977 - Roger L. Easton invents GPS which is eventually incorporated into cars.

1977 - Gene Ledger invents the concept of minimalist design which he incorporates into the world's 1st passively cooled house that uses a white painted roof, walls and doors along with a shiny 1-way tint to reflect sunlight off the house and insulation in the walls to further prevent the absorption of heat and decrease the heating load which reduces the electrical consumption of the house's air-conditioners. The passively cooled house, which has no decorations and has the simplest design possible, was designed this way to keep the cost of construction to a minimum by saving on energy, materials and labor. Cars and other commercial products also start having a minimalist design from this time onwards to reduce their production costs, making them cheaper.

1990 - General Motors invents the 1st electric sports car, the Impact, which has a top speed of 295km/h.

1996 - General Motors introduces the EV1 electric sedan which sets a new speed record for electric sedans with a top speed of 129km/h and also sets a new record for electric car endurance with a range of 169km and an energy economy of 4km/kWh with an equivalent fuel economy of 36km/l.

General Motors also introduces the 1st diesel hybrid sedan which sets a new speed record, with a top speed of 129km/h and also sets a new record for hybrid car endurance with a range of 890km and a fuel economy of 34km/l.

2003 - Elon Musk invents the leak proof lithium ion battery and DC fast charger for his electric cars. The leak proof lithium ion battery can last for 8 years because it is in a sealed, airtight case, which prevents leakages, and the DC fast charger works by delivering a large amount of power to the battery pack at once in order to fully charge it in only 30 minutes. The DC fast charger delivers a large amount of power to the battery without using impractically large high ampacity conductors in its circuitry and cords by increasing the charging voltage to 480V, which is double the split-phase voltage of US AC grid electricity of 240V: split-phase electricity and the 3-wire power transmission system were invented by Thomas Edison. The DC fast charger uses a built in step-up transformer, invented by Nikola Tesla, to step-up the grid AC voltage to 480V before converting it to DC using a rectifier: the 1st rectifier, which used a mercury arc Edison Effect vacuum tube, was also invented by Thomas Edison. Elon Musk's batteries can tolerate the higher charging voltages without overheating and exploding because they have stabilizer chemicals in the batteries to make them less reactive to high voltages and heat sinks which are placed underneath the battery tray and exposed to the air to dissipate the heat. Because of Elon Musk's invention of the leak proof battery and DC fast charger, the objections to the use of electric cars which are the short lifespan of the batteries and slow charging times is eliminated, causing Tesla to become the 1st company to sell a large number of electric vehicles at 1,917,450 vehicles sold from the company's founding in 2003 to the present, making Tesla the leading manufacturer of electric cars. Elon Musk also invents the cold gas thruster steering system to increase the maneuverability of his cars. It works by shooting jets of gas, which is stored in a pressurized tank, from nozzles placed around the body of the car. The steering wheel is connected to sensors that monitor the steering wheel's rotation in order to determine which nozzles will shoot the gas out.

2010 - Joe Justice invents the world's 1st carbon fiber reinforced plastic car which has a phenomenal fuel economy of 43km/l and a top speed of 240km/h. Eventually, the Koenigsegg Agera is introduced which is also made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic, just like Joe Justice's car, and it sets a record speed 458km/h in 2017.

2013 - Ford invents the tubular boron steel chassis for cars which is much lighter than the conventional i-beam carbon steel chassis, more than doubling the average fuel economy of cars from 13km/l to 27km/l.

2013 - Edison's electric car division, Detroit Electric, produces its own electric sports car, the Detroit Electric SP.01, which has a top speed of 249km/h and a range of 290km with an energy economy of 7.84km/kWh and an equivalent fuel economy 68km/l, making it the most energy efficient car in the world.

2017 - The Tesla Model 3 sets a new speed record for electric sedans with a top speed of 261km/h and also sets a new record for electric car endurance with a range of 628km and an energy economy of 6.44km/kWh with an equivalent fuel economy of 56km/l. It is also the 1st car in history to have auto-pilot.

Benjamin Franklin, discoverer of electricity and initiator of the 3rd Industrial Revolution, was also a rabid anti-semite:

Quote from: Benjamin Franklin"There is a great danger for the United States of America. This great danger is the Jew. Gentlemen, in every land the Jews have settled, they have depressed the moral level and lowered the degree of commercial honesty. They have remained apart and unassimilated; oppressed, they attempt to strangle the nation financially, as in the case of Portugal and Spain.

For more than seventeen hundred years they have lamented their sorrowful fate — namely, that they have been driven out of their mother land; but, gentlemen, if the civilized world today should give them back Palestine and their property, they would immediately find pressing reason for not returning there. Why? Because they are vampires and vampires cannot live on other vampires --they cannot live among themselves. They must live among Christians and others who do not belong to their race.

If they are not expelled from the United States by the Constitution within less than one hundred years, they will stream into this country in such numbers that they will rule and destroy us and change our form of Government for which we Americans shed our blood and sacrificed our life, property and personal freedom. If the Jews are not excluded within two hundred years, our children will be working in the field to feed Jews while they remain in the counting houses, gleefully rubbing their hands.

I warn you, gentlemen, if you do not exclude the Jews forever, your children and your children's children will curse you in their graves. Their ideas are not those of Americans, even when they lived among us for ten generations. The leopard cannot change his spots. The Jews are a danger to this land, and if they are allowed to enter, they will imperil our institutions. They should be excluded by the Constitution."

Ford has once again taken the lead in March 24, 2019 as the fastest car on the planet when an improved 2006 Ford GT hit 483km/h in a Texas Standing Mile Race.

Mark Heidaker, Kevin Kesterson and John Mihovetz invent the following technologies to modify the 2006 Ford GT and give it a top speed of 483km/h:

Granite Transmission - the parts of the transmission system are made of granite because it can withstand higher temperatures generated due to the increased friction that the gears experience when running at a very high speed.

Vinyl Wrap - is used to protect the body paint of the car from sand that blasts the paint off when the car runs at high speed on a gravelly road such as the airport where the Texas Standing Mile Races are conducted.

Rear Venturi - is a device for reducing back pressure within an exhaust system for an internal combustion engine by creating a venturi within the exhaust system and forcing air through the venturi to create suction for drawing exhaust gases away from the exhaust system. The exhaust system of a conventional automobile is modified by coupling one end of an air directing pipe to the tailpipe of the automobile near the outlet of the tailpipe and at an acute angle thereto for creating a venturi. Air is forced into the opposite end of the air directing pipe by an air scoop or a fan, and the forced air is directed through the outlet of the tailpipe for providing suction which draws exhaust gases out of the tailpipe.

Titanium Downpipes - the downpipes connecting the turbochargers to the tailpipes are made of titanium because it is light, strong and has a high melting point so it can withstand the very high temperature exhaust produced when the engine runs at very high speeds.

Methanol Fuel - the 2006 Ford GT is the 1st racecar to run on environment friendly methanol because it produces lower exhaust temperatures than high octane gasoline.

Below is an image of the modified 2006 Ford GT:

Thomas Edison, another initiator of the 3rd Industrial Revolution and inventor of automatic vote counters, an early form of computer, automatic telegraphs, computer storage in the form of mechanical discs, the teletype and teletype printer, another set of early computers, power plants, hydroelectric dams, electrical appliances, sound recording, and movies was also a rabid Anti-Semite:

Quote"Those Jews stole my motion pictures, Henry!"

Antisemitic quotes from Henry Ford, inventor of mass produced automobiles, vertical integration, the moving assembly line, mass produced airplanes, airports, flying cars, and recycling biomass into fuel:

QuoteAnd if after having elected their man or group, obedience is not rendered to the Jewish control, then you speedily hear of "scandals" and "investigations" and "impeachments" for the removal of the disobedient."

"I know who caused the war (World War 1) - the Jewish bankers! I have the evidence here. Facts!"
