I've been watching the Netflix show, Outlander. The idea behind the 1745 rebellion is because of religion and terrible treatment by the English/Scots Militia.

So the rebellion was all Catholic vs Protestant. An argument that lasted into the 21's century in Scotland and Ireland. It lasted into America as North vs South. It's my ancestral cousins that went to The South. Think about it.

There's an old joke: What's the difference between Scottish Knife Gangs and Irish Bombers? The Scots Win. The moral is, don't F. with a Scotsman with a broken bottle.
