Quote from: http://www.allacademic.com/meta/p_mla_apa_research_citation/1/1/3/9/5/p113951_index.htmlIn 1970 African American and Latin@ Mennonites formed the Minority Ministries Council (MMC), lodged under the auspices of Mennonite Board of Missions, in order to present an organized movement for racial equality, leadership development, and new approaches to urban missions within ecclesiastical and institutional levels of the Mennonite church.

I think it highly probable that the above event offended many in the White Mennonite community who subsequently left their church rather than tolerate such drastic and enforced changes by what were essentially interlopers. Little wonder that by this stage P.M.E. Klassen had turned his back on Christinsanity and in 1973 published Nature's Eternal Religion.

"In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man, brave, hated, and scorned.
When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."
Mark Twain.
