Extract: POLICE are investigating a "suspicious package" and a racially offensive note sent to a member of the UK Houses of Parliament which prompted a brief closure of parts of the site on Thursday.

{Super Paki} Lord Ahmed of Rotherham said he opened the envelope in his office and was told to stay where he was as it was treated as a chemical or biological incident.

The independent House of Lords member said the powder was later found to be harmless.

Lord Ahmed told the BBC the white powder spilled over him and the envelope had contained a note with the words "paki filth".

He said: "The powder went all over my clothes and I immediately shook it off. I realised this powder could be anything.

"It was frightening, and I think that even more than it being frightening for me, it was a big shock for everyone who was around me because security personnel came and told everyone to be calm and remain seated, and you could see the police officers with guns."

It comes on the anniversary of the 7/7 bombings which hit the capital in 2005.

Extract: A former BBC presenter who was sacked for making a racist call to a cab company, has been criticised for a series of Facebook comments criticisng "Rotherham Pakis".

Ex glamour model Sam Mason, 45, was fired as a local radio host  after asking a taxi firm to send a "non-Asian driver".

She has now taken to Facebook about the sex abuse scandal in Rotherham where a number of the perpetrators were Pakistani.

In one post, she said: "Dirty dirty filthy paki Rotherham bastards.

"Some paki woman is blaming the government for not looking after the paki community! Wtf is that all about? Jesus Christ.

"Now, anyone I offended by booking my daughter a taxi can you please * off." (sic)

Mason was sacked from BBC Radio Bristol in 2008 after a recording of her conversation with a taxi operator was handed to The Sun newspaper.

She was booking a taxi for her 14-year-old daughter when she said:  "A guy with a turban is going to freak her out. She's not used to Asians."

When the operator said it would not be possible to carry out her wishes, she said: "You've managed it before."

She was then refused a cab and was told: "We would class that as being racist. We can't just penalise the Asian drivers and just send an English one."
