Russell Barton testified on behalf of the defense that during his time stationed with the Red Cross at the Bergen Belson camp,, he saw no evidence to support a German policy of systematic extermination and testified that the deaths were primarily a result of starvation and typhus.


Thies Christophersen was sent to Auschwitz as ascientist researching the development of synthetic rubber.

Working side by side with the inmates, Christophersen testified that Auschwitz was a clean and happy work camp, and there was no evidence whatsoever of gas chambers.

Dr. William Lindsey, an American industrial chemist, testified that zyclon B was used for delousing both prisoners and officers, and its application as a mass gassing agent was a physical impossibility.


Ditlieb Felderer testified on behalf of the defense that during his 27 visits to Auschwitz, he witnessed an Olympic sized swimming pool, a banquet room, a sauna, a dance hall, and an orchestra that would perform for the inmates.

Jewish Prof. Roger G. Dommergue gave written testimony that was presented to the court on behalf of the defense that all that was really known is that 6 million people that didn't exist, died in gas chambers that nobody ever saw, on orders that were never given.


Zündel took the stand and testified in his own defense. He explained to the court how his beliefs were formed through years of tireless research in search of the truth and fueled by his desire to rid the German people of the stigma that was a direct result of a historical lie.

Ivan Legacé, a cremation expert, testified for the defense. He refuted that 4400 bodies were being cremated daily at Auschwitz, claiming it was "preposterous and outside the realm of reality."

He stated that the maximum possible number of cremations daily was 184.


Zündel commissioned Fred Leuchter, a gas chamber expert, to travel to Auschwitz, Treblinka and Majdanek to conduct a forensic analysis of the alleged gas chambers.

He sampled the soil and brick, took measurements, drew floorplans, and sent the
samples to a lab for analysis.

Fred Leuchter's explosive report compiled from his forensic analysis of the alleged gas chambers and gave irrefutable proof that the chambers were incapable of supporting hydrogen cyanide gas for the purpose of mass execution and HAD NEVER BEEN USED AS GAS CHAMBERS.
