SMOKERS already face Kevin Rudd's $5 a pack tax rise and now cancer experts want them to apply for a licence to smoke.

Professor Roger Magnusson of the University of Sydney's Law School and Professor David Currow of the Cancer Institute NSW say a smart-card licence would combat teenage smoking.

Retailers would have to check the licence before every sale to verify that every pack sold is purchased by an adult, the authors write in today's Medical Journal of Australia.

Magnusson and Currow also want the smart cards to be used to collect data on smokers that can be used to help them quit.

You can stamp B/S ! all over  ^ this statement! What are those smart cards really going to be used for?

"It will enable rigorous evaluation of smoking cessation programs, ensuring that public health dollars are focused on evidence-based strategies that yield the best returns," they say.

A smart-card licence would also allow the government to see if smokers' purchasing behaviour changed in response to industry incentives such as retail price discounts.

... And no man may buy or sell unless they have the mark of the beast.

This has bugger all to do with Christinsane stating the bleeding obvious portrayed as prophesy: It is the standard advance of governmental interference in the day to day lives of the average person ... something that has been seen as a problem right through the ages.

These smart cards have been around for a while and so far have only been used in a generally good way. Firstly, they were used on the worst of the Abos to ensure their kids were fed instead of the parents spending every penny on booze, tobacco, glue and petrol - probably didn't work, but that's not my problem. Secondly, the same system was extended to the worse off of the White population - all well and good since those so far singled out generally are Whites that live like Niggers ... Wiggers or Wabos maybe. And when it comes to tobacco, I'd rather see it banned altogether; but you know how the JOG are when it comes to tax collecting ... and there will always be someone dumb enough to pay, no matter the price. Brother, since you don't smoke, you wouldn't have noticed, but as well as the NO SMOKING signs I have outside my apartment, I've since added a NO SMOKING sign on my balcony outside as well. Anyone who wants to smoke when visiting my home, can no longer just pop outside onto the balcony and continue as part of the conversation; no, they can leave the bloody building altogether, take their foul pervading stench and piss off! There's a street out there with exhaust fumes from the traffic, packs of violent niggers roaming the streets and coppers galore to hound them ... but I don't give a stuff. If they want to smoke, then out into the street they go with their rancid putrescence.

As for the nanny state banning all fun through the use of smart cards, as I explained above, sometimes it's a good idea to do exactly that because there are some types of people that do not know what is good for them. I look at it this way, the smart card is the ID Card of the 21st Century. It is no more than a technological advancement and is only as good or bad as those who make the rules. Therefore it is up to "We the people" to ensure that the rule-makers go no further than we need allow them to go.

I really don't like much of modern technology. Maybe its my age but then I prefer cash. I wonder what Ben klassen would have made of it all? I expect he would say use the technology to our advantage but shun stuff that gives the jews an edge or control over us.

For security purposes, I wont get into the full details here, but let's just say, that is exactly what we do.

Since 2014 I've lived in my own home. Almost standard front and back yards with a house in the middle. For some time, I allowed people to smoke outside - back or front yard. Now, I throw them out into the park next to my home.

Knowing that many smokers like to pull fags from garbage bins to collect the tobacco, these people just disgust me.
