Others took the time to investigate Ms Barned's personal life, and found out that she only recently started a new job.
She said multiple people had called the employer demanding she was fired from her job.
She haven't been fired, but at the end of the day I think it's pretty low for people to try to get me fired for a Halloween costume.'
'You are disgusting, get in the bin,' another offended viewer wrote.
Ms Barned said she regrets posting the photo, and if she knew the implications or the history of blackface she never would have attempted the costume.
'I was dressing as an iconic figure to me, who I love. I'm not in any way a racist,' she said.
