A young British tourist has warned travellers to be careful when passing through Outback Australia after sharing a 'horror story' about her friend's experience

Speaking directly to the camera, Ash recounted how a friend had stopped at a service station in Fitzroy Crossing, a small town in the Kimberley region, 400km east of Broome.

Ash said her friend was waiting in the car while her partner went to pay, 'and some kid came up to the window and tried to break into the car'.

'We're being super cautious and I have literally locked myself in the car,' Ash said in response to the story, holding the keys up to the camera.

'But it's to the point where every single person we've spoken to said if you're travelling Broome-Derby all the way through to Darwin, if you're stopping anywhere, just be super careful.'

Fitzroy Crossing is a popular stop-over destination as it is one of only two towns on the well-travelled 1,000km highway stretch between Broome and Kununurra.

Social media users said they had not encountered problems in the region, though they were extremely careful.

'Omg halls creek was pretty scary driving through tbh,' one wrote.

'I'm so glad you didn't have any issues, especially travelling completely by yourself!' Ash responded.

'We actually ended up driving for about 11 hours straight from Derby to Kununurra in the end!' she wrote.

Ash replied to another comment, 'We didn't have any trouble thankfully, but good to be careful.'

Earlier this year there was a major outbreak of violence in Halls Creek, three hours drive from Fitzroy Crossing.

Police were called to the scene of the out-of-control gathering to discover around 40 people fighting.

WA Police say some were armed with knives, stones, sticks, metal bars and bricks.

Officers broke up the brawl after deploying backup from Broome, Kununurra and Fitzroy Crossing.

Liquor stores in Halls Creek were ordered to close to help stop alcohol-fuelled violence.

The troubled town has become infamous as a crime hotspot.

In 2022, unruly teenagers stole cars, destroyed property and caused havoc on the streets of Halls Creek - leaving residents too scared to leave their homes

No mention of who does all this but this area they speak of is an Abo, welfare town zone. Basically, anybody who isn't an Abo is "fair game" or their property.

People make money from the welfare of blacks here and they won't consider moving them to areas where they can be employed for the betterment of the nation!
