A mass brawl erupted on a western Sydney street after members of the Indian community reportedly exchanged taunts on TikTok. 

Footage captured up to 40 people hurling insults and racing at each other on Wigram Street at Harris Park, on Friday night.   

Both camps chanted over each other before members exchanged blows.

Some members were seen waving cricket bats in the air.

Oncoming cars were also slowed to a crawl as the clash spilled onto the road. 

Police and the riot squad were eventually called in to break up the violence.

'No arrests were made and investigations are ongoing,' a New South Wales police spokesperson said.

Another video captured the bloody aftermath of the brawl with one person found comatose on the footpath.

The person is seen lying unresponsive as nearby onlookers shine a light in his face while several others film the man.

Some of the videos have already raked in more than 400,000 views.   

Local business owner Nitin Setia condemned the brawl.

'It was not good what has happened,' he told 9News.

'It's really bad for the community here.'

The brawl is reported to have escalated after a bitter feud between Punjabi and Harayana community members on TikTok.

Punjab and Haryana are neighbouring states in north India that have clashed over several local issues.

The states have feuded over sharing of water from the local Sutlej Yamuna Link canal as well as fighting over the rights to call the Indian city of Chandigarh as their capital.

A paedophile is among the latest Kiwis convicted of serious criminal offences who have had their visas cancelled and sent packing back home

The 30 men were deported from Australia last week on charter flights departing from Perth, Sydney and Brisbane

The New Zealand citizens had been convicted of a range of serious criminal activities including sexual intercourse with a minor aged between 10 and 14, domestic violence against minors, assault and drug offences, aggravated robbery and stalk and intimidate, aggravated break and enter, assault and larceny.

The latest deportees are in the addition to another 30 New Zealand criminals sent home in July.

They included a well known bikie convicted of assaulting a Queensland police officer.

Other charges included drug possession, breaching domestic violence orders, assault and kidnapping.

The latest deportation operation on August 25-26 highlights ABF's continued resolve to remove non-citizens who pose a threat to the Australian community.

'These non-citizens have been convicted of very serious crimes. Non-citizens who are found not to meet character requirements, and whose visas are cancelled, are not entitled to remain in Australia,' Field Operations Commander Ben Biddington said

'The Australian Government is responsible for protecting the community from the risk of harm arising from foreign nationals who choose to engage in criminal activity. The majority of those removed had their visas cancelled under s501 of the Migration Act.'

The deportees were sent to a managed isolation facility which opened in July, where they'll spend the next two weeks in quarantine.

Almost 3,000 New Zealand citizens have had their visas cancelled under s501 of the Migration Act in the last six years under provisions which allow the Home Affairs Minister to cancel a visa if a person is considered to not be of good character.

They include Joel Morehu-Barlow, a fake Tahitian prince fraudster who siphoned $16million from the Queensland government.

He was deported in February after his release from prison.

NZ Prime Minister: 'Send back genuine Kiwis, do not deport your people and your problems,' she told her Australian counterpart and reporters during a tense conference in February.

'You have deported more than 2,000 individuals, and among them will be genuine Kiwis who do need to learn the consequences of their actions.'

'But among those 2,000 are individuals who are too young to become criminals on our watch, they were too young to become patched gang members, too young to be organised criminals.

Australian Border Force Commander Field Operations Ben Biddington said in a statement released to the media non-citizens who did not to meet character requirements and had their visas cancelled were not allowed to stay in the country.

"The Australian Government is responsible for protecting the community from the risk of harm arising from foreign nationals who choose to engage in criminal activity. The majority of those removed had their visas cancelled under s501 of the Migration Act," Commander Biddington said.

"Since the rules around mandatory visa cancellation were strengthened in December 2014, a total of 2926 New Zealand citizens have had their visas cancelled under s501 of the Migration Act."

Under the Act, the Home Affairs Minister can cancel a visa if a person is considered to not be of good character.

A person can fail the character test for a number of reasons, including circumstances where a non-citizen has a substantial criminal record.

Note: The Australian Government can declare any Australian Born Citizen with a parent born overseas "to be considered of not good character" and deport them to the place of citizenship of their non-Australian parent.

An aspiring Soundcloud rapper and his private scholarship friend have faced the music after a string of violent robberies in Brisbane's nightlife district.

Ahmed Daldoon and Kodi Shallali fronted Brisbane District Court on Tuesday over their vicious "hour of misbehaviour" in Fortitude Valley in January, where their victims were chased down, assaulted and had their phones and bank cards stolen.

Both pleaded guilty to robbery in company with personal violence and stealing property.

Daldoon, 22, has an active social media presence posting rap music to his Soundcloud account under his rapper name dollerdoom

He entered pleas to more offences committed during the January spree, including robbery using personal violence and possessing marijuana, and a raft of offences committed in June and December last year.


Those charges include obstructing police, driving while disqualified, receiving tainted property, fraud and attempted fraud.

The court was told Daldoon and Shallali, 20, embarked on an "hour of misbehaviour" against random people at 4am on January 18 this year.

The duo attacked three people over the space of an hour by punching them, stealing their phones and fleeing.

Crown prosecutor Erin Kelly said Daldoon was the primary attacker but Shallali was implicated by being in company with him.

One of the victims pretended to speak in Russian on his phone to avoid being targeted, but the duo knocked him to the ground despite his pleas.

That victim required surgery for multiple fractures to his face

At 4.40am, Daldoon stole a backpack from another person in the Chinatown Mall.

Police cornered the pair 10 minutes later, recovering the items and a small amount of marijuana belonging to Daldoon.

Ms Kelly said Daldoon lied to police by saying he received the items while in a nightclub.

Prior to his streak with Shallali, Daldoon was pulled over in Brisbane in June 2019 while on drugs and driving without a licence.

Police attempted to arrest him but he kicked out his legs towards officers and refused to comply with directions.

In December that year, Daldoon received a number of bank cards and attempted to use them to shop in Clayfield and Fortitude Valley.

Ms Kelly said he only managed to spend $6 on food with the stolen cards.

Shallali's defence lawyer, Penny White, said her client had written to the victims apologising for his behaviour and was "ashamed and embarrassed"

She said Shallali, a Brisbane Boys College graduate who attended on a rugby scholarship, was working in a gym and training to become a fitness instructor.

Ms White said he had "excellent prospects" and asked for a more lenient sentence to allow Shallali to continue working.

Acting for Daldoon, defence lawyer Damien Gates said his client was drinking to excess at the time and had previously been on ADHD medication.

He said Daldoon could secure work in the warehousing industry once released.

Chief Judge Brian Devereaux jailed Daldoon for three years and seven months and disqualified him from driving for two years.

With time served since January, he will be eligible for parole on January 17 next year.

Shallali received a two-and-a-half year jail term with immediate parole release.

Judge Devereaux said the pair's "brutal" assaults struck at the essence of civilised society where people were free to walk around without fear of being attacked.

"You two, relentlessly, set upon four different individuals," he said.

"There's no excuse you're intoxicated"!
