Excerpt: The threat of deadly terrorist attacks from racist anti-government extremists will not go away with today's execution of Timothy McVeigh, counter-terrorism officials warn.

There may be dozens more McVeighs drifting around the country – and under the FBI radar screen.

Law-enforcement officials and terrorism experts say McVeigh has become the poster boy for a dangerous new breed of domestic terrorist.

they are angry young men – often recruited in jail or on the Internet – who believe the U.S. government, Jews and all nonwhites will soon be eliminated in a great race war.

And, like McVeigh before the Oklahoma City bombing, no one knows who they are or what evil they may be planning.

"They are told not to join any one group or to sign their name on any petition or membership list so they can avoid detection by the FBI," said Travis McAdam of the Montana Human Rights Network, which tracks anti-government extremists.

Loner anti-abortion gunman James Kopp – now being held in France on charges of murdering a Buffalo abortion doctor – is a typical example, who patterned his operation on the leaderless resistance concept, the FBI believes.

Experts believe the numbers of people drifting into the racist movement may be on the rise.

Among the groups now believed to be fueling {sic} the lone-wolf terrorists is the shadowy Church of the Creator, whose members chant "RAHOWA" – a call for a racial holy war, McAdam said.

Meanwhile, the West Virginia-based National Alliance headed by William Pierce, author of "The Turner Diaries" – a racist novel with a plot eerily similar to the Oklahoma City bombing that is believed to have been McVeigh's inspiration – is going national.

Experts believe the numbers of people drifting into the racist movement may actually be on the rise.

Do-Gooder Anti-White Groups: We See Racist Conspiracies Everywhere

"They are told not to join any one group or to sign their name on any petition or membership list so they can avoid detection by the FBI," said Travis McAdam of the Montana Human Rights Network that tracks anti-government extremists.

FBI: We Cannot Arrest Them For Lawful Activity, So We Frame Them

"The concept of leaderless resistance is basically this: you know what needs to be done and who the enemy is. You don't need to be part of any organization," added Oliver Buck Revell, former head of counter-terrorism at the FBI.

Because of this, it's impossible to know how many lone-wolves there are out there.

"What makes them so dangerous is it's impossible for law enforcement to penetrate or stop them before they do something," Revell said.

CIA: What We Don't Know We Make Up!

"It's definitely a time to be vigilant," said Vincent Cannistrarro former counter-terrorism chief at the CIA. "You don't know what you don't know and that's always the concern," he added.
