Good find Brother. Hilarious! Kangaroos are in fact quite a dangerous breed, especially the male Red Kangaroos, they can grow to a huge size and are pretty aggressive. The most interesting part of that clip is how old the show was, I don't know about America but they just don't make television shows like they used to.

The mascot is called Marty the Monster. It comes from a 1980's kids tv show from Queensland.
