Democrat State Senator Tony Navarrete is facing seven felony counts involving sexual misconduct with two young boys and 49 years behind bars at the minimum. 35-year-old Tony Navarette, a "rising star" in the Arizona Democrat party, was arrested Thursday evening and charged with a felony described as "knowingly engaging in intercourse or oral sex with a minor." All of his Democratic colleagues have been sure to distance themselves and call for his resignation after the latest fiasco with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. One of the boys is now 16, but the sexual abuse allegedly began in 2019.

AZ Central reports on the phone call where Navarrete admits his guilt and apologizes to the boy. In the recorded call, monitored by police, Navarrete, 35, acknowledged touching the victim's penis and performing oral sex on the youth multiple times over several years, according to documents released by Maricopa County Superior Court.Navarette told the youth he regretted his actions, knew they were wrong and repeatedly told the youth that the young man was not at fault for any of the interactions. "Of course, I regret any bad actions that I did, absolutely wishing everything could be different. I'm sorry, mijo," Navarrete was quoted as saying in the phone call. It appears he was not aware that police were listening in. The documents note another alleged incident where Navarette reached under the shorts and touched the upper thigh of another teenager, who swatted his hand away.  The article fails to mention many details about the Senator which are important for
voters to know.

Following the announcement from the New York governor that he will be leaving his post, and the revelations that Time's Up has been running cover for him, I'm left wondering why the same fate has not yet befallen the president.I was on a call with a reporter asking me for a comment on Cuomo as he resigned as New York governor. After I hung up, I read through the meticulous Ronan Farrow piece in the New Yorker that not so coincidentally was followed by his resignation. Ronan provided the final blow to the monster; the dagger went deep, revealing even worse than corruption and webs of deceit all designed to protect and maintain Cuomo's power. Defiant until the end, in typical abuser style, Cuomo blamed Twitter and politicking for his downfall.  His systemic, abusive leadership coupled with misogyny and killing his own citizens did not come up in his speech.
