Trump's ear was blocked from view.  When he pointed to the sign on his right, everyone looked over to it, and this was the perfect cover [time] to carry this out.  Everybody who filming the event turned their camera to the sign. Trump ducks immediately to hide his right ear to the audience. The ear stops bleeding.
