Trudeau - Let them eat fertilizer
In a recent poll,
72% of farmers said that crop yields and food production will plummet should the Trudeau government's 30% fertilizer emission targets be implemented. Canadian Federation of Independent Business policy analyst Taylor Brown has called Nitrogen an "essential element" for the success of Canada's agricultural sector. "While the government of Canada's objective is to set a national target to reduce emissions, the primary method to achieve this is not to establish a mandatory reduction in fertilizer use," said Brown. "Coupled with rising costs and labour shortages,
they are wondering how they're going to continue saving the world." (https://media.gab.com/system/media_attachments/files/107/672/160/small/608741e37f24d6cf.png)
Politicians are not farmers
Canadian farmers have also had to deal with the pressure of increasing yields to offset the supply chain issues caused by Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Fertilizer Canada has warned that such an
emission reduction will cost farmers $48 billion in income... farmer groups have warned that similar protests as those in the Netherlands could arrive in Canada should the government move forward by targeting the agriculture industry. ... In April, Agriculture Canada put out a report labeling Canadian farmers as being among the worst emissions offenders in the world. Jochum and other farmers groups have challenged the government on their claims, saying that
Canadian farmers have some of the best practices when it comes to fertilizer use. 72% of farmers say crop yield will plummet under Trudeau's emissions scheme | True North (https://tnc.news/2022/08/09/farmers-emissions/)

Seems like they support any BS if it's "progressive". Truth is plants need fertilizer if the soil has been depleted constantly for a couple hundred years, as much as they need sun. Farmland doesn't have decaying flora like a forest does.

We all recall the "CHAZ" farms around Portland and Seattle. They couldn't even grow weeds there! And Trudeau from his office is trying to tell farmers how to grow crops. Are those lawn chairs around the CHAZ garden?

There is no such thing as nitrogen emissions.
78% of the atmosphere is nitrogen and nitrogen fertilizers are made by sucking air through a filter that separates the nitrogen and mixes it with ammonia in a chemical reactor to produce ammonium nitrate, a process invented by Dr. Fritz Haber who won a Nobel Prize in chemistry for his invention in the 1900s.
Putting that nitrogen in the soil is necessary because many crops need nitrogen to grow, and they do not have the ability to absorb it directly from the air.
The only alternative is nitrogen cycle crop rotation that involves rotating nitrogen depleting crops with nitrogen replenishing crops such as nuts, beans and legumes, that have the ability to absorb nitrogen directly from the air, but that also puts nitrogen into the soil because the nitrogen travels from these plants, into the roots and into the soil as a waste by-product. This farming technique was invented by George Washington Carver in the late 1800s.
The nitrogen in the soil, that is absorbed by plants when they grow, is retained in the plants until they are harvested and eaten by humans.
Then the nitrogen is mixed in with waste such as urine and feces which exhausts back into the atmosphere when the sewage is treated in sewage-to-electricity power plants.
So, the nitrogen is just cycled indefinitely by going into the soil, into plants, into the human body, into human waste and back into the air: no air pollution is generated in this process.
This nitrogen emissions crisis is a pile of leftist bullshit and Trudeau is a dickless, feminized, low testosterone Jewish faggot who should be dismembered and turned into a quadriplegic before having holes bored into his eyes, ears and nose.

Yes, it's true that 78% of our atmosphere

This is true, liberals are just this dumb.

Even using decaying organic matter and manure would put nitrogen into the soil so it would not make a difference.
In fact, the ash collected using cyclonic ash separation filters in waste-to-electricity and sewage-to-electricity power plants, invented by James Dyson in the late 20th century, is also used as fertilizer and also puts nitrogen into the soil.
